Not all are bent, Eddy. No one has said that in this thread have they?
And the only eejit on here is silly old Brute with his claims that there is NO corruption in ANY Australian police force and anyone who claims there is is a 'dickhead'.
That's almost as laughable as his claim to have once been a pro boxer.
Plus don't keep mentioning you are from the UK as he aint too fond of "poms". Lol.

stop ruining yet another topic.
do it by personal message if u want to have the police discussion. how hard is that to do?
thanks guys.
bluster, the original poster asked for thoughts on Fujimoto vs Haumona.
Now, I admit I haven't given my thoughts YET but it seems that neither have you. Lol.
Actually, I'll go for the Jap by stoppage without ever having seen him. Solo just seems too inactive for me and at 37 I think if he was gonna make any impact he'd have done it by now. Sure, the Japs only had a handful of bouts and that is obviously in Haumona's favour but imports are usually chosen for a reason.
What so you reckon?

don't bother trying to have a go at me, i didn't go off topic for 2 pages.
anyway.
i don't think the jap will be hard for haumono to hit tbh, and solomon is a very accurate puncher from when i've seen him.
i didn't see anything flash from the jap vs welliver and welliver was abysmall imo.
solomons main problem is like david tua, he needs to be fired up and not just go through the motions.
haumono by ko.

No, while technically not the best fight ever for pure entertainment it was a cracker, mate I don't know how either of them lasted for 5 rounds..... Put it this way I would pay for a rematch! Saved the card there was some real one sided beatings, not as pretty on the eye.
Afa v Joey Wilson was an incredible match; I'd watch either of those guys against anybody. Sometimes being "crap" (not my description) doesn't mean they're not good to watch.

Not challenging you, I have no reason to disbelieve you, but would be interested to know more.

i fought briefly in the early 1970s with little success. I sparred with Billy Bell and other good middleweights and welterweights but I would rather not give my details.
I have two young grandchildren and do not trust some of the people on this board.

My thoughts exactly, boxing is about levels. Two evenly matched boxers who don't have all the skill in the world can be good to watch - seen many of these kinds of fights. In fact, most boxing is this skill level. Good job we don't have to rely on 'Pretty Boy' Floyd and his ilk to bring the action or else we would have 3 fights a month.

Five rounds is about the total time Tutaki lasted against Hopoate, Briggs and De Mori combined.

Since I missed him when he fought on my very own shores (and I will always kick myself for that), I may have to do that. It would be a kind of pilgrimage.

This came up the day after a Police Inspector was murdered by a pair of shitbags in the north western suburbs.

Not much news is out there, except this write-up of a couple of weeks ago, where Solomon muses about the bout and life in general:
http://www.smh.com.au/sport/boxing/wisd ... 2b27s.html
At age 37, for Solomon this is probably his final attempt to get into the overseas big-time, but years of inactivity have not helped him.
