Hatton in about 6 or 7 one sided rounds for me.
So hatton is a silky smooth boxer who slips punches and uses constant movement to pick someone off now is he?
Are you implying that's what Malignaggi is?

Ricky and Senchenko both bang on the weight. Both look good (although Ricky does look old in the face). The height difference looks greater than is billed.

Win, lose, or draw, I expect Hatton to refer to himself in the third person. :shame:

I said that you shouldn't have invited CallMeDave. He's your hero ever since he mentioned you in his conference speech. :shame:

Stop talking utter rubbish

Malignaggi is that silky and smooth he thought he would let Miguel Cotto smash his face to bits for a laugh. His movement is that good he let Hatton & Khan both give him a 11 round hiding. Oh not mention him going life or death in his last fight!

What Malignaggi did to Senchenko shows how bad he actually is.

Hatton's 3 and a half years older than when he was last that weight, so has natrually aged - is the drawn face simply not his norm but we're so used to seeing him chubby?

His face will look fuller by fight time when he rehydrates to about 155lb.
c'mon Hitman-even the haters are excited I bet :TU:

good luck to the lad - but i cant see his enthusiasm for the comeback lasting too long after this fight. even up a division he'll still balloon in the weeks post fight. then its the grind again..the mentality of going through the prep at his age.
its a tuff game

I wish him well and am genuinely rooting for him. What worries me is that if this goes wrong, how will that affect him mentally?

Hatton being billed as 5'7.5" has always been a complete joke. He is a midget. Everybody knows he is about 5'6". I just checked Senchenko on Boxrec and he is a big Welterweight. 5'10", and from the weigh in footage he looks legitimately that height. I worry for Hatton, as he struggled with Collazo who was 5'9" and after that fight, Hatton was saying how big he was. Now he's picked a fight with an even bigger guy. Is this the biggest guy Hatton's ever fought? Fair play to Hatton for challenging himself though: if he wins by stoppage, as some of you are predicting, against such a big guy then his confidence will be through the roof.

However I have a horrible feeling about this fight and I cannot convince myself that Hatton will win. I am fully expecting him to lose. Sorry. It's just I can't get that image out of my mind of him open eyed, starched on the canvas, Jennifer hysterical and almost puking into her Prada handbag. I went off boxing after watching that. For about a day.

It's funny you should mention that, is it some kind of weird fantasy for TV companies to show things like that? "Oh look he's knocked out cold lets look at his hysterical wife/girlfriend" I don't get why they show it really.

Did you watch it as it happened too? That shot of his wife... Intercut with footage of a guy who looked dead. fornicating horrible. It did make me think: Why do I like this sport?

Yeah I watched it as it happened, it didn't quite have the same effect on me but then I am a huge fan and regular attendee of the Isle of Man TT where lets face it every year you know that at least one competitor will be going home in a box so I'm kind of used to "the worst" however I'm just not into the voyeuristic "oh look lets look at her screaming while her loved one could be in serious trouble" it lacks class IMO.

It was just depressing. I can watch that fight back now because I know that he's not dead. But when I watched it live, I wasn't sure whether he was or not.

I can put those rumours firmly to bed, Ricky already looks in tremendous shape and, far more importantly, is as fit as he looks. HOWEVER, he will almost certainly have timing issues and because of this could well look laboured. This is to be expected so people should not go overboard with their criticism. After a scrappy start, Ricky will begin to dominate and stop Senchenko somewhere between five and nine.
I wasn't impressed with how he looked when i saw a report on him last night, i've started to lean towards a weakened Hatton to start off well then fall apart late on
mmmm i should of put a bet on
