He doesn't deserve any more credit that he's got. He was better defensively than people perhaps thought and people have acknowledged that, but he barely did a thing offensively and he's the champion of an entire continent. How he was ranked 5 in the world by the WBC is bemusing and practically everyone knew it beforehand. Bellew's team were right to fight him, though, as playing the rankings game does work.

I disagree, he was paid decently to come over here and get KO'd in two rounds, everyone thought he was going to stumble onto Bellew's big shots and go down in a heap like the last Argentine who came over here who fought Kell Brook. If you all haven't worked out the sham that is the alphabet boy's world rankings then I can't say much more. The rankings are doctored more for British fighters than most other nationalities anyway.
