Det er ingen som rakker ned paa Burns! Det er bare at jeg synes han vil tape stort. broner er et class act og Burns er ikke i samme divisjon.
Sann er det bare. jeg like Burns, men Broner er et meget farlig fighter.

Having just read page 1 of this thread and accidentally moved onto page 3 without reading 2, I'm greatly looking forward to clicking back to see how the hell this managed to get onto "Pissenflappen"

Burns is a little like Clinton Woods in my opinion (who I did once interview for Saddo Boxing) ...in that he's a real hard-worker and improver! But also you have to be realistic. Things didn't go so well with Roy Jones for Clinton, and I imagine throwing Burns in with Broner would end in a similar disappointing way.

Pissenflappen? The translation may be 'piss flap' :) Could be his real name?

Its very hard to pin Ricky down. He has one of the best Jab's in the game. That 1..2 combination will keep Broner off and When Broner changes it up Ricky will go to the body.. What a lot of people don't realise is Ricky is now gaining power now that he doesn't need to boil down to Super Feather.. I would rather see this fight at Light Welter as I believe it will be their both's strongest weight.
People keep saying Broner is the new Mayweather.. Broners defence is weak this fight is a genuine 50/50 fight.

Broner is gonna be too much for Burns in my opinion, i'd love to be wrong but he punches accurately with good power, can box at range, can fight in close. He also has the vicious side to him that top quality boxers need when he gets people hurt.
Id love Burns to shock the world if this happens but sadly I just cant see it.

Pissenflappen is a word used in Norwegian. It`s not a Norwegian word as such, just a bastardization of an english word. Naturally it is derived from pissflaps.
If you put the whole thing into google translate from norwegian to english, you get the whole translation.

The torrent of Norwegian translates as:
"There is no one who denigrate Burns! It's just that I think he'll lose big. Bron is a class act and Burns is not in the same league.
Live only. I like Burns, but Bron is a very dangerous fighter."
The last line is a string of profanity, and Google Translate opts not to try "pissenflappen".

I think ricky is a great fighter and a great guy but doesnt matter that hes under estimated theres no chance hes beating broner. Broner is going to be the fighter of his era. The guy has everything and the power to match it. Ricky is a class act fair enough but this guy is special.

I thought Broner was very poor against Ponce De Leon.
Burns does have a chance in this one.

So your saying broners got a special defence? Your oh so wrong Jamie, stand off against Broner you will make things easy for him,he makes mistakes the same as all fighters and we will capitalise on those mistakes given the chance.

Hes a tough guy and cant see where Ricky wins it. Its my opinion and it could be wrong but i wont change my opinion. I dont see Ricky stopping him but i can see broner stopping him. I believe its too soon for Ricky and a better fight would be De Marco. Sugar Coat it as much as you want but no fighter Ricky has fought is in that elite level. Good fighters but not top of the game:)

I'd just keep a mental note of all of this Billy and what the press say as it will make it all sweeter in victory. There will be nobody questioning Ricky and yourself after it!

I think Ricky wins this although it is a 50-50 fight... Broner is very weak defensively and I don't think he will deal with the pressure from Ricky that well... Just to point out Jamie you said Ricky would never stop Mitchell and I said he would haha....
At lightweight this fight will go to points I'm going burns to win.. If at light welter which I hope it will be made there will be a stoppage and it will be an epic fight. This is definitely both fighters best weight and believe they will both be at the top of their games.. And Ricky will stop Broner. Hope this fight comes off Billy this is the one to cement Ricky's legacy as Scotland's best ever boxer

Its a fight that everyone wants to see. Broner is very good. Looks so calm, stylish, powerful and rarely misses, BUT it would be very interesting when People take the centre of the ring against him. Burns has the reach and the jab to frustrate Broner. He likes boxing at his own pace so it would be good to see someone change up the pace against him. Broner would be the fav but I wouldn't write of Burns, he's proved time and time again he's getting better and better and if he beat Broner I wouldn't be completely shocked.

burns always gets abuse on here, and is consistently underrated. he keeps winning. ive no reason to think that would change if he fights broner. ive seen two broner fights and he looks good so far , but hes a long way to go before hes a proven superstar. lloyd honeygan smashed don curry to pieces when he was supposedly invincible.

Oh, not the old Lloyd Honeygan routine!

Honeyghan won by crowding Curry and not letting him do what he does best. Are we suggesting that Ricky is going to become an inside pressure fighter against Broner? Certainly seems to be what Billy is suggesting, but it would be a big change for Ricky, who likes to dictate from the outside behind an excellent jab, whereas Honeyghan was always that fighter. If the fight gets made, I'll be cheering Ricky on, and I'd love to be wrong about the result.

I think Ricky has done enough in his last few fights to dispel any questions about him. He's certainly changed a lot of opinions about him.
Broner is something special though. You can't really blame people for picking against Burns in this fight. We'll all be rooting for the jock (I hope) and it'll be beautiful if he created an upset, but I just don't see it.

I think Billy was saying Broner has defensive flaws which will be brought out if someone pushed him onto the backfoot, which Burns's good jab and the length of his frame might give him a chance to do, and that letting Broner get a head of steam up by letting him get on the front foot is the wrong thing to do
on the hand's other side, broner presents a very difficult proposition purely on the basis of his physicality RE athleticism and strength
