Perhaps some lessons need to be learned by this ticket situation.
When Hatton vs Mayweather was signed, a box office in Manchester had a few thousand tickets, and they vetted them by getting fans to show stubs of previous vegas fights they had attended.
Perhaps, if there is another Froch vs at the 02, then maybe Capital FM arena get a wad of tickets so at least the scores of Nottingham fans who have supported him home and abroad, have an opportunity to get the pick of the seats they want at the price they want - rather than scrum for whatever they can get by sheer luck - and spend perhaps less or more money than they hoped.
As it stands now, guys who wanted £250 seats - had the choice of £500 seats or sit back and probably end up paying £120 for a crummy £40 ticket because a tout got in the door first.
It rubbish that the two fighters, the promotional teams and the venue, split a £40 ticket between them - and yet a tout makes double on top and pays no tax on it either.
Viagogo and all those sh*t sites need shutting down because they are touts and it encourages it. They trade behind their funky logo, when they are a touting company.
Think that a good ideal about a ticket outlet in Nottingham. I been told by a mate loads of die hards have missed out. I hoping they can get from the undercard fighters.

I understand the Kessler fight is a better spectacle, but the froch v ward rematch will sell 40,000 tickets no problem what so ever.
Kessler is a much bigger name here than Ward. I doubt a fight with Ward would sell any better than this.
Ward will bring very few fans. Kessler bring 3 to 5k.
Could not have been at football stadium in London that night due to champions league. Only place would been Nottingham but Kessler team preferred London

I totally agree Kessler is a bigger name and a better fight, but if froch beats Kessler the ward fight is the one froch needs to make his career ! It's obvious already the public love him, and I'm sure matchroom won't gamble again on a small stadium when they could double there revenue in a football stadium ! If it's not in Nottingham my money's on leyton orient !

All for a fraction of the cost

were you expecting them to show the CL final in the areana? I wasent, if they chose to do that and stopped the fights i wouldent be too happy , eff the champions league final ,this fight is worth ten of those and if any boxing fan in that areana expects them to show the game while we have to wait for a fight they need there head examined
Not inside but there are lots of screens on the concourses and bar areas that can show TV.

Are they playing 10mins at each football stadium in London then? I thought it was just at Wembley - what will UEFA dream up next?

Seeing as this got sold out in minutes, any chance of an 'injury' to one of them and it being at a later date at a football club. Of course that would mean more ticket sales.

Last year Kessler fourght Green on the same night as the CL final. They showed football on the screens over the ring. There was NO boxing during the CL, oh what a joy it was when it went in to overtime and penalties... They even had two fights after the fights but before Kessler vs Green fight.

Guys, you just need to chill. By May touts will start getting twitchy and you will see tickets on ebay for face value and sometimes less. Im going to this dependeing on who is in the champoions league final and if I decide to go i wil get tickets and i wont pay a penny over face value for them

Not sure I agree. I would love to wait & get a couple of tickets, but I honestly think at although the prices will drop down from the silly money they are now they will still be above face value come fight night.

pyenest77. Have faith. Tickets will come up at face value
It's not just touts either. You will see someone on here who bought tickets and his friends has flopped him at the last minute and he just wants his money back

If friends drop out of course your see tickets at face value because the average person isn't out to get anyone, but I'd be very shocked if you find a normal ticket seller selling at face value now, it's a great fight and now it's on ppv the demand will continue to rocket putting prices up !

I guess we will have to wait and see. Im an utterly convinced based on my purhcase of 'sold out' concert tickets. Perhaps this fight will be different but I doubt it

Correct. I attended Kell Brook's last two fights at Sheffield Arena and bought both sets of tickets off ebay in the days leading up to the fights, off ebay, for less than the face value price of the ticket. Did the same for Munroe vs Quigg 1 at the Velodrome in Manchester

jesus, cannot believe it sold out so quick.
I will bet a load are reserved for corproate bigwigs, tv execs and the like.
Some will come up, but they are going to be way out of my price range when they do.
Will watch with a load of pissed mates at someone's house, maybe spill a kebab downmyself/urinate down my leg, or get my made to adopt a nottingham accent and call me a southern cooont just to make it more authentic.

None of those fights were completely sold out. There is a big difference in promoters saying it and it being true. Only Hatton-Senchenko, Haye-Harrison and Froch-Kessler 2 have been 100% sold out. The secondary market will stay strong for this throughout. And the touts will have the returned tickets too! They are much more experienced than most. Some will be adding Matchroom boys on Twitter now...

Every chance. I mentioned this exact thing on another froch thread. Hearn is iffy as fook so reckon he'd be up for it but Carl is too straight

You're absolutely kidding me. Boxing is a business.
This is a bad example as froch and kessler both seem honourable types so unlikely to happen as I said, but are you that naive you thinking doesn't happen?
I wonder how Devon's arm is. Hope it doesn't break down again if he does get the Mayweather date......

Is it really sold out , its not unusual , for events to be anounced has sold out to get rid of the worst tickets first , only for them to come up with a few more thousand
