Three 'major' problems with the Antonio Cervantes - Roberto Duran fight for 1975.

Money, Venue, WBA Officials and Rematch Clause.

After 'failed attempts' to get it done.

Next up,,,,,,,,,Antonio Cervantes was supposed to defend his WBA Light Welterweight Championship
against #8 WBA-ranked Frankie 'The Terror' Benitez....... Wilfred's older {18 year-old} brother.
That's four problems.

Too bad that fight, Duran vs Cervantes never materialized. It would have been a classic no matter what. A classic no matter the winner. But I think Duran would have come victorious.

Another fight that should have taken place in the 70s was Roberto Duran vs Alexis Arguello, and Roberto Duran vs Wilfred Benitez back in '78. Both fights at the New York's Madison Square

And let's not forget Wilfredo "Bazooka" Gomez vs Danny "Little Red" Lopez

Too bad Arguello lost to Vilomar Fernandez, who got the shot instead.
