Pulev would be a great choice. If this is followed by Povetkin who has the WBA regular title would be perfect in October to force the hand and earn the biggest bargaining power.

If haye beat pulev and povetkin he could argue he has the best CV at HW out of the current division.

Haye would have: Povetkin, Pulev, Valuev, Chisora, Barrett, Ruiz, Harrison, and Bonin.

I'd say Wlad fought the superior version of Barrett, while Ruiz and Brewster were both past their best when beat by Haye and Wlad respectively. McCline, Austin, and Williamson are among the weakest of the names I've listed for Wlad, but I'd rank each of them over Harrison and Bonin, and at least on par with Barrett.

Precisely. Klits can't avoid him then and empowers his bargaining hand.

Povetkin certainly is a big sell - 'unbeaten heavyweight champ' who's won Olympic gold in a Klit eliminator.

I doubt the June fight will be Pulev standard and more likely fringe top ten. The October fight has to be Povetkin/Pulev standard, I.e a top 3 fighter.

Of all the remotely realistic possibilities, Pulev seems to be the most attractive.

Charr seems more likely though and I for one wouldn't be too disappointed. I genuinely felt Charr had a game plan against Vitali to start slow and crank things up after a few rounds, however futile this tactic may or may not have been.

I think he can give Haye a good fight.

Vitali - Charr, chisora, adamek, solis, briggs, sosnowski, johnson
Haye - Povetkin, pulev, chisora, wlad, harrison, ruiz, valuev

Id even argue Haye (albeit a theoretical list) would have faced the better opposition than the klits in the last 7 fights. Wlads win over haye would obviously put him above, but the questions asked will be why arent the klits fighting guys considered dangerous. Vitalis list is shocking and thats the guy haye will be targeting the media will eat that up.

pulev should already be challening wlad, but i wouln't snub haye vs pulev - a very dangerous fight for haye.

Pulev is a monster; I think he's the future of the division.

Really can't see it being anybody as highly thought of as Pulev. Last time Haye promised a top ten opponent (back when he didn't have a 'crown') he ended up talking up JD Chapman as an opponent - I expect similar this time.

Pulev can hit and has a good chin and is decent and is tough.

Thats true, its all academic at the moment because i think we would all be pretty shocked if haye faced pulev and povetkin in his next two fights.

I dont blame the kid its Haye being thoughtless. If it was in july i would have gone but i cant take the risk of going to mancs if my mrs is overdue or my son is here and only a couple of days old. Ah well it may give me an excuse to get over to germany on a piss up if he fights over there next.

The key to all of this is Andrzej Wawrzyk, he has been offered a fight by Haye and Povetkin, so Haye's opponent will depend on who Wawrzyk fights. Either way, Povetkin is having one more fight before the Wlad fight happens later in the year.

wawrzyk is chinny and cant punch, he's got a massively padded record. Wawrzyk isnt on the same level as harrison no way, its the unbeaten record thats going to be sold to the public but in reality this is a waste of time fight and haye will win within 4 rounds, maybe in 60 seconds if he wants to.

You think audley harrison would go the distance against a guy who is ranked 150th in the world an lost his last 11 fights? or Butlin or Swaby? He beat a better fighter than wawryzk in rogan last month. Rogan is funnily enough ranked one place above wawryzk on boxrec.
