Wilder will not be doing jailtime. Apparently, the woman is a hooker who attempted to rob him. Looks like an apology (probably some hush hush money) and the charges will be dropped.

I'll definitely believe this when I see it. Warren resorting to ever more desperate tactics to sell his shows.

Lmao You were backing Harrison in April to KO Wilder. Who can test Deontay Wilder, Ratchet?

I don't get this, though. Gavin-Vassell would do big numbers on its own in the Midlands and possibly Manchester. It does not even need Del Boy, let alone as a headliner.

Even if this fight was signed, I think Del (on his last showing) is going to need a lot longer than 5/6 weeks to get himself into the kind of shape that can take Wilder into deep water.

Not just about selling tickets now though, Delboy is the biggest name on Warrens books at the moment after all the press last year, none of the other fighters have been on the front page of all the national newspapers, and none of the others, at this stage, would lead to increased subscribers for allegedly - Delboy is the key.

Harrison is more skilled than Wilder, but Haudleys punch resistance and speed /timing are now off. But, yes, I picked Haudley to beat him.

I have watched a lot of Wilder and he is getting stretched soon, and Del can do 12 rounds easily - can take a punch and has better ability than all Wilders previous opponent.

6ft 7'' and 16st tells me Wilder is a bulked up modern day cruiser.

If this fight doesn't happen, after what Schaefer has said, then the BBBoC really need to speak with Fwank about his conduct.

I'm assuming here... I would like to know on what grounds Fwank thinks its reasonable to announce and subsquently promote a fight when the contract has not even been signed.

Unless Wilder has gone in the exact opposite direction of the modern heavyweights, and is a 240lb man melted down to 224 through hard, strenuous graft?

You know, like the great heavyweights of the past used to do, so that they arrived in peak physical condition and the fights and punch volume was insanely high?

If that is the case, and he can take a punch (big if), his fitness will be hell for bulked up overweight heavies with low activity and low punch output (eg all of them).

Good post and agree completely. I wouldn't say Wilder looks bulked up, I would say he has a very athletic build, and with the exception of him getting aids the chances of him seeing 14.5 stone would be nil.

He's lost to Haye, Vitali, Helenius and Fury in 4 of his last 6 fights. His two wins were against bums so he really needs a win against a live opponent.

Ok so he may have got robbed against Helenius but the fact is he lost. He can't continue to be a whipping boy for those that harbour world class aspirations.
Chisora is the luckiest HW around today.

Every time he has stepped up in class he has lost, yet not only does he get praised to the hilt, he keeps getting big fights.

I wouldn't mind if he was dedicated enough to get down to a proper weight (something he's never done) to do himself justice, but he can't be bothered to do that.

I just don't rate Chisora at all.

He's OK, but he isn't world class: he isn't even European class: at best he's British level & that's it.

Wilder hasn't fought anybody worth talking about, but I predict that Chisora would be well out of his depth & lose by KO.

Seconded. Chisora is clearly past his best. He's peaked and now he's a fatty!

Chisora looked dreadful in his last fight , and that was after FW saying how it was the trimmest he'd seen him in a long time, always in the gym etc.

Look at Wilders legs, not many men have legs like that and come down in weight. I believe he is chinny.

By 'modern day cruiser' - I mean he - without the weight training - muscle being heavier than fat - would be the weight most of the modern cruisers are when they are not draining too much. He is bulkd up, just look at his frame from a few years ago, its weight training.

I mean look at Guillermo Jones, he a title challenger at light-middle and he's a big rangy cruiser champ now. Clearly Wilder has real firepower at heavy. He isn't compromised in the strength and power stakes like say Adamek or Cunningham, the real bulked up cruisers of the world scene today.

David Haye is a bulked up cruiser with no power issues in some peoples eyes.

Audley got up against Wilder and Price knocked him cold.

Wilder has been protected for a reason. imo

Yeah but Price hit Audley with a few really big shots whereas Wilder only really landed one clean one which was the one that floored him! The rest were wild punches that wernt really hit anything properly.

I think that's a little harsh. He beat Helenius and put up a decent fight against Vitali Klitschko.

No dispute he did do a good show, but since David Haye knocked him out he's lost his desire and found the cake shop. I think it's all downhill now...

he did the same; coming in fat against fury and was tip top for vitali and haye, chisora just cant motivate himself for small fights, and also clearly got fed up of training camps that ended without a fight before fighting fury and saw it as a come down from the expected klitschko fights.

To be fair, against Fury he suffered a hernia in the buildup and couldnt do enough conditioning work, hence the spare tire.
