carbajal was trained in their backyard gym by his brother danny who was a barber, so the whole

Japfro's were all the rage back in t'day man! Didn't Jiro Wanatabe have one as well? Asian ladies of all nationalities loves Afros - had all my classmates at university having a good feel of my hair saying how soft it is!!

That is a bad story - do you think there's a jail somewhere with loads of inmates tached and mulleted up? It's a scary thought.

I think only Chang came anywhere near close to rivaling Gushiken's 'fro




I think someone's mentioned McGuigan's 'tache but McAuley also rocked it to full effect.

after only 5 pro fights, he challenged humberto "chiquita" gonzales for the wbc title and
was winning in the last round when he got stopped, then next year he beat another guy
and then challenged carbajal in vegas for both the wbc and ibf titles and got caught in
the 7th, then retired at 6-2 with 2 world title fights.

Thanks for this mate, I knew his brother ripped him off in later years, didn't realise that he'd been doing his 'do since the start!

& yes, I remember Kim Kwang Sun! Great little warlord & as you said amazing Asianfro/'tache combo. His fight with Carbajal was something of a 'tache/bad hairdo epiphany as I remember. They also beat the living shite out of each other...
