I'm with you. Another wasted Matchroom spot on SKY Sports as far as I'm concerned. York Hall was fairly subdued for most of tonight's action. I suppose however as long as people keep tuning in, SKY will keep showing them. It's really up to us to stop watching this drivel if we want to get the message across. I'd much rather see someone from the Matchroom stable have a British, Commonwealth or European title shot ahead of Prizefighter any day.

Fight underway. Purdy taking a lot of meaty shots. Has landed some punches tho.

One thing. Watching Alexander grunt away it's like watching a tennis match between Sharapova and Serena Williams. Except I don't want to sleep with anyone I'm watching in this case.

Commentators have mentioned they think Alexander's injured his left hand. Not necessarily that seriously but I think he did in the last round or the one before.

Purdy needs to notice hes barely using that hand now and start to take a few more risks , thats still another round on the board for alexander

Purdy has been pulled out. He was never going to win in a billion years so fair enough but he could well have gone the distance who knows.

I hope Geale smashes Barker.

Was probably unlikely to be able to stop alexander but with the injured hand i dont think pulling him out was the right decision there

Even with one hand, Devon was getting the better of Purdy. He was after taking 7 rounds of continuous shots and wasn't getting to Alexander. Good decision by Barker imo.

I'd have nutted Barker if I was Purdy.

They are trying to sell us Brook vs Purdy as a viable fight? Shocking.
