I'll take a bet with any of the Audley fans right now, that Chisora beats him. Any takers?

Ok, I bet you that Audley wins, but if he loses you have to run down the street naked shouting

'Audley is King'.

If he wins then you have to kiss desperado.

Deal.

I bet you the location on your profile. When Chisora wins, you have to write whatever I like in it for a month.

Every time Audley has fought someone with decent power. He folds like a cheap tent after the very first offense. David Haye, David Price and Deontay Wilder.

Does Audley even have a chin? He's been KO'd 4 times and has lost against every decent opponent he's fought.

If you look at Audley's record and pick out the 7th highest ranked guys he fought during his career. They would be Guinn, Williams, Sprott, Rogan, Haye, Price and Wilder. He's been beaten by all 7 of them. I do give him credit for avenging 3 of them though.

With that said. Audley didn't achieve and wont achieve anywhere near the level people expected on him. Audley simply isn't that good. He's British level and the absolute highest. Even then he's lost and will continue to lose to most of the current British heavyweights.

As for a heavyweight world title. He couldn't last more than 2 minutes against Price and Wilder. David Haye could have done him in a round if he put the pressure on. Rather than waiting to counter a guy who's scared to throw punches against someone who can hit back harder.

Theres no reason why he cant carry on fighting he just needs to fight at a realistic level. Im a massive fan but the guy gets in the ring and does nothing but hold his right hand out infront of him and then gets ko'd anytime he is in with a big puncher. Against Wilder if he wanted to stand any chance he needed to be out throwing a proper jab like wlad does, waggling you're hand around isnt going to give your opponent something to think about.

Maybe he should look at targeting the domestic level again then moving up to the European level if he can. Targeting bangers is just completely bonkers. Skelton or McDermott maybe.

So he spoke to Lewis, presumibly Lennox told him that when he got KOd and looked like his world was over he didn't give in, instead of telling him, Audley quit now, I came back and suceeded then retired and Haye well, what can he say, retired unretired full of shit master

Don't the vast majority of boxers no matter what you tell them when the ask for advice say, wel you know yourself son, far be it from me to tell you you are finished.

Maybe Audley should take a look at Danny Williams.

Having said all of the above if I was earning good money, having fun, enjoyingmy job, why not do a few extra hours overtime.

I think Audley what ever you think of him would be a great corner man, public speaker, hell he talks so much shite he could be the first black Prime Minister

Yeah, Southern Area Title.
I think McDermott holds the Southern Area Title but he won the vacant English heavyweight title against Skelton.

So McDermott vs Audley for the English heavyweight title would be interesting. Both got KO'd by Price in a round. Both lack heart sometimes. Both can put up a decent performance *if* they try.

McDermott boxed well against Skelton in his last fight. He boxed well against Danny both times and beat Fury in their first fight he also hammered Larry in a round.

Would be a decent fight in the context of an English heavyweight title fight. That's the kind of level Audley is at.

Maybe Audley should take a look at Danny Williams.
Audley's wins between his recent losses are collectively solid: he won PF and the EBU title between losing to Rogan and Haye; he easily stopped an area level fighter in Ali Adams between losing to Haye and Price; and he won his second PF, breezing through some decent opponents, between losing to Price and Wilder. Conversely, Danny has been a punching bag for years, has lost to mediocre fighters (e.g. Werner Kreiskott), and his losses tend to be sustained beatings, while Audley loses quickly and suffers comparatively little punishment.

It would be more appropriate for Audley to look at Williams's case when he is unable to thoroughly beat the likes of Rogan, Rossey, and Adams, and when he is close to becoming a perpetual punching bag for limited opposition. Currently, Aud isn't operating at a level that is markedly lower than the level he operated on years ago.

Audley is better than last week's WBA world title challenger Wawrzyk.

Does anyone disagree with that?

Why is he completely shot?

He looked very good a few months ago outclassing Rogan, Rossey, and Bertino, and he's always struggled when he's stepped up against big punchers. I'd give him a great shot of beating Warzyk, especially since the Pole has neither power nor durability.

If Audley is judged on what he does in the ring relative to other fighters in general, rather than to what he promises or what was expected of him, his performances over the past few years compare well to those of nearly everyone outside the top 30 or so. If he were an unknown Argentinian named Juan Pablo Castro, free of the expectations people had of him circa 2001 and the promises he made, I don't think people would be nearly as convinced that his recent performances suggest he's got close to nothing left or that he must retire.

A shot Audley is better than garbage like Wawrzyk. Harrison would spark him out early just like Povetkin did.

The thing is that Audley is deluded. Wawrzyk is poor yes, but he was built with a 27-0 record and the right connections to get that one payday. I doubt we'll see Wawrzyk again except on some dodgy European under-card.

Audley however, continues to get in way over his head and seems to convince himself that he'll win. He's had his payday with Haye and he may well have got another decent payday if he had plotted his way back better. Soon as it was announced with Wilder, most of us here shared a joke and gave Audley slim pickings while in reality we knew he'd get smashed. Why not take on a couple of the Euro bums and get a decent ranking and keep his momentum going? No he jumped straight back in against a puncher.

The only thing that Audley will do with this comeback, is set himself up for another 70 second hammering.

What does he need to make him realise that it is over?

Audley was ripped off in his last fight against Wilder. He came to win, that much was clear, otherwise why would he have used the word "redemption" in the build up.

I have watched the fight many times and truth be told he was loading up to drop the A bomb on Wilder when he was caught with a lucky punch that beat his face off. He was up and ready to rumble when the ref stops it far too early. Everyone could see that that if the ref had let that fight go on, Wilder was in for a world of pain. The ref did Wilder a BIG favour there (so much so that I smell a rat there, a pretty big rat at that)

Then we have the Price fight and the Haye fight, both of which Audley was winning clearly before he was caught with an unlucky punch.

I know there are many who will not agree with me, but for a cruel repeated twist of fate, A fofce would have won all 3 of those fights EASILY.

Redemption is a powerful force and Big Aud is gonna shock the world in his next fight. Not only will he throw a punch and maybe get past the first round, but he will show us us all the true meaning of the word belief.

Can he? Yes he can. WILL HE? YES HE WILL. SHOULD HE? HELL YEAH,

Excatly! We'll start to see Wawrzyk fed to up and coming Eastern European guys. The guys with 12-0 records. He'll get a couple of half decent paydays yet. He's got a good record and not bad rankings. He's currently a perfect opponent for someone who wants to start making noise in the heavyweight division. We'll find out exactly how poor Wawrzyk is in the next year or so. I'd imagine he'll have many loses over the next year. Unless he goes back to beating bums trying to get another payday like the Povetkin fight.

I still don't get why people think Audley will achieve anything. The 7 highest ranked fighters he fought during his career. He lost to all 7 of them. He revenged the loss against Danny Williams. The guy who was shot. He was coming in off a loss to Skelton. In which he hardly threw a punch and was very unfit and unmotivated. He didn't train for Audley either. He beat Sprott in the last round being 6 rounds down. Rogan was finished going into prizefighter. Fighters age at different times. He looked really old and slow against Fury and was beaten pretty easily.

Rogan stopped a decent fighter in Sosnowski in the PF quarterfinals and I thought he did ok against Fury; he won 2 more rounds against Fury than he did against Audley in their rematch.
