Ward is wasting away and has not boxed for over a year do people still think ward doesn't need froch?

i like watching ward i think he is the floyd mayweather of the bigger division. he can adapt to most styles,what ever the opponent wants to do he will match,he is a good pro i think and is far from boring.

I agree; he is very effective, a master of angles and distance and must be tougher and harder hitting than people think; he's not lost since he was about 13 years old.

Ward is a good boxer with an awful style. Nobody wants to go and see football matches where teams take no risks...you can hardly blame fans for switching Ward off.

I know, I know, there will be zillions of posts about how you have to have reached the seventh plane of celestial nirvanic boxiana to appreciate Ward...but who cares??? Ward, Hopkins, Mayweather are safety first merchants. Great at what they do but seriously, all sports are really about entertainment.

If Froch rematches him then if he takes 4 rounds off him it'll look good on his legacy. Froch did better against him than anyone since the super 6 started.

I hate that thing Ward does when he sticks his head into the other guy and just pushes forwards.

I dont think it's the lack of risk taking so much as the constant grabbing and mauling he does in fights. That's ugly as hell to watch.

Most of his time out of the ring was due to his injuries or pullouts by opponents, not simply Froch's absence. I don't see how you can know the facts of his situation and say his stagnation is down to not rematching Froch or that he needs Froch not to stagnate.

Concerning pay, HBO was recently willing to pay him around $2 million to fight Edwin Rodriguez and he made over $1 million for multiple other fights, so he can make good money without Froch; it's a myth that Froch is his only route to a big payday or that he can't make much because he's boring and not a big draw.

There are potential big fights for Ward in Kovalev, Stevenson, and Chavez, and he can still get paid well against opponents such as Rodriguez. He doesn't need Froch as much as he needs to be healthy and willing to fight even if the terms aren't exactly what he wanted.
