Fury's ranked about 5th or 6th in the division.

His heart is his best asset. He is not very wealthy, either.

Palooka meant Haye might not be in love with boxing anymore and is very wealthy, but put Fury's name by mistake (I think).

The worst mistake ever? I meant to say, 'Haye is very powerful etc etc'.

Beat enough mid-level fighters and you too could get ranked that highly. That means nothing. Not quite the same as Froch being ranked 2 after his run of fights is it?

I can see what you mean Mark but Ward has to be number 1 in the division and that's because he's beaten everyone he's boxed; in such a competitive division being the accepted number 2 is something to be proud of; I don't think Ward has lost in 15 years amateur and pro; including Olympic Gold - no shame being second best to him.
(Missed the point a bit there didn't I

Fury has good connections, is unbeaten and makes the right noises, that can shake a boxers rating a touch higher).

And if I beat Mayweather and Marquez I can be P4P No. 1. What is your point?

Froch is a top P4P fighter. Fury not being as good as him at the moment doesn't mean he isn't a world class fighter.
Fury has beaten Chisora, Cunningham and Johnson. Which heavyweights have done more than that in recent years?

And your post seemed to be suggesting that Fury is getting opportunities because of his mouth rather than his proven ability.

There's the bouts he has won and his mouth and the performances of others that have all combined to elevate him. If he weren't so vocal and personable then his performances would not have him shooting for a PPV bout next up. If he didn't get so much attention out of the ring then he'd be like any one of the other good heavyweight contenders.

Which world class fighters has Fury beaten then?
Cunningham may have been a world class cruiser but is/was never world level at HW as long as he's got a hole in his arse.

Cunningham beat Adamek on most people's cards and Adamek was/is a top 10 ranked heavyweight. Fury knocked him out.
Fury beat Chisora more clearly than Vitali or Helenius did. Chisora is still a top 10/15 heavyweight.

Such a shame 'most people's cards' didn't match the three who mattered. Shoulda woulda coulda.
And Adamek is hardly a massive heavyweight is he...another world class cruiser.
And if you're using Chisora as a point of reference then clearly Haye is a better fighter after what he did to a far fitter and more motivated Del Boy...?

Haye has more power than Fury, I don't deny that. That doesn't mean he will beat Fury when they meet.

1. Yep, I did. Narrow but I did. Couldn't really argue with a couple of point swing either way though, but unless you value the thoughts of Jim Watt it certainly wasn't the 'robbery' that was laughably portrayed in the media. Pacquiao landed very little on anything other than Bradley's gloves or arms that night.
2. Yup. But that doesn't make him world class, it means that outside of the Klitschko family the heavyweight division is awful.
3. But seemingly on no evidence whatsoever Fury will 'destroy' someone so much more powerful and faster than him. You really are a strange individual.

When Fury beats Haye with ease, the whole of BoxRec will be forced to bow before the superior boxing knowledge of Horse.
I will be the King of BoxRec and I will rule with an iron fist.

A lot of people scored the fight to Valuev.

You don't understand why I think a world class heavyweight "stands a chance" against the almighty David Haye? Really?
Alot of people ith sight problems may have scored the fight to valuev who did land a punch but that doesnt mean he nearly lost the fight; not one judge scored it to valuev.
Do you consider fury world class he hasnt faced a dangerous opponent and won convincingly yet.

It's nothing to do with sight problems, it's to do with people favouring Valuev's workrate over Haye's slight advantage in punch accuracy.

He beat Chisora, Cunningham and Johnson convincingly.
