It'll certainly be an interesting atmosphere and I think security will earn their corn come fight night.

Haye will be the good guy for this one. He already has a big fan base, throw in that Tyson is a gypsy and you'll have a very pro-Haye following for this one.

Judging by how pro-Haye the crowd were at Haye/Chisora, I'd have to say Haye.

There seems to be a general lemming-like criticism of Fury. Check out the 'casual' fan comments on any Sky Sports article involving heavyweights and he is considered to be the worst 'bum' of all time. Seems like the numbskulls might read an article by Glen Mccrory (or some other ex-pro), where Fury is criticised, and then recycle the opinion as their own. It's these casual people that generally make up the bulk of the crowd at big fights like this, so I fully expect them to boo the hell out of Fury.

I doubt the Manchester factor will do much for the support of Fury either. Haye has himself drawn big crowds up there before.

One thing is for sure, loads of crowd trouble. More fights outside the ring on Sept 28th!

You can say that again!

Tyson is from Wythenshawe which is only 15 minutes away from Manchester City Centre. At think it's fair enough to say there will be plenty of Tyson Fury supporters in the crowd and for that reason I certainly won't be attending!

Hopefully they will conduct themselves with dignity in the lead up to the fight and therefore not encourage any out of the ring punchups. Both need to do this haye after chisora and problems with the board and Fury to show maturity and sense now dominate over childish name calling. in addition the last thing british boxing needs is a load of puerile behaviour in what will be a much covered fight and could be the sort of fight to bring none boxing fans to the sport.

To sell a mediocre match-up on PPV you have to reach out to the lowest common denominator. I'm not anticipating too much dignity.

ha, understatement of the week.

I find that the casual fan don't like Fury all that much. Since it's been made I have had 3 texts from strictly casual fans saying they hope Haye takes him out!

I try to assure them that Fury seems a nice bloke away from all the hype. Anyone who grabs the mic and starts crooning straight after a fight is ok in my book :TU:

I reckon the crowd will be favouring Haye but Fury will have plenty of support in there given where it is.

Which is exactly why i wont be attending.

They'll tear that place up if he gets beat especially if it's a controversial loss ie an early stoppage or a close points loss.

but it isn't a mediocre match up; its a meeting of two top ten world heavies who are both British to decide who is the best in the country. It therefore doesn't need all the trash talking and BS that people think is needed to sell a fight these days.

Are you from the North or South? My mates can't stand Haye and have felt that way long before he signed to fight Fury. I know around 20 going, all pro-Fury.

I'm from the south (the New Forest) and I won't be supporting either; I'm a big fan of both and will just be enjoying it.

Well for the first time since Hatton-Kostya I will be attending an event and passionately wanting one fighter to win. I have been to loads of big and small events where I have wanted one fighter to win, but would love it if he beats Haye, love it!

I've had over 100 requests for tickets from Ireland already and will probably run a coach to this. Probably 75/25 in Fury's favour on that bus.

Fury will have a lot of local support, as pointed out Wythenshawe down the road, he has a huge extended family in Manchester, he's a known United fan (far more of them than City fans in Manchester), I think Fury will have more support than Haye on the night.

He didnt draw a massive crowd to the show in Trafford Park to be honest.

Haye couldn't draw a crowd to see him fight Barrett. Its the fight that sells.

He drew a hell of a lot more than were at the Pajekic fight mate, but I take your point - as I've said, I've already had over 100 ticket requests.

As I always harp back to when it comes to Haye been a ticket seller, Rossitto in Huddersfield(when Haye was older than Fury is now) was the most pathetic live attendance I have ever seen. We get more in the local WMC for the amateurs. Literally.

Garden of England here. I work with Jocks, Welsh and northerners though and all to a man, when watching Fury-Cunningham wanted Cunningham to knock him out! I was the only one cheering on Fury!

Haye has been involved in big events and fought infront of packed houses. He is a big ticket seller thesedays. He is more high profile than Fury too.

This is Fury's "coming out" fight if you will ( Enzo was Haye's. I was there too, heard all the threats of the Welsh taking over the o2 etc, come fight night it was very much pro-Haye though ).
He hasn't done the major shows yet. Depending on how this one goes will determine if Tyson goes on to become a massive ticket seller in the future. Win in style and his name is up in lights thats for sure. Get battered and destroyed and it's join Audley on the novelty circuit! :OhYes:
