Derry have you and your team looked yet why you were below par only you and them know how much went into your camp and weight loss then how you rehydrate after the weigh in etc

iv never seen you in so one sided fight but well done for staying with it as far as a rematch I would leave that out

And you said on ifilm your looking to go for 50 then its over will you stay in the sport as a coach

Coyle showed himself to belong toward the top of the domestic class division; if you boxed again it would be bound to be a decent mix of styles and a good fight for the fans; you may even beat him more clearly.

so, looking back, which are the classic derry Mathews fights?

crolla 1, maybe crolla 2 (caught fire in the last 3 rds), rees 2, choi 2, and now coyle?

was the martin Lindsay fight another top battle?

So would Curtis v Derry; there are not any rubbish match ups of the top domestic lightweights.

It was a bad day at the office but I got away with it my diet is spot on what I didn't like was we was warming up indoor then fighting out door and as people will tell you who was there the temperature drop a lot form afternoon to when I was about to go on , it's was freezing out there , but it's a lesson learned

Would he have given you a rematch if he'd won? I don't know mate. Probably not.

As for what you'd get out of it, a chance to defend your title. Possibly at home. If you got a good offer why not?

Coyle fought quite well in the fight although somewhere around the mid rounds he started looking slightly tired, but it passed and he appeared to get his second wind.
Matthews stuck to it though I'll give him that and produced a shot right out of left field.
Coyle shouldn't let his head go down, that kid fought well but Matthews experience caught him off guard.
Good scrap both boxers put on a decent show.

Derry's performance was well below average from start to finish - except for that wild hook that caught Coyle flush.

I think I gave him the third round and that was it.

But that's why we love boxing, because in a split second the fight can be turned on his head.

You have to be 'In it to win it' and despite being well down on the cards, Derry showed the tenacity to stick in there and take his lumps - and his reward was a KO win over a decent young fighter coming through.

A sweet, powerful hook from nowhere wrapped it up, just like that.

Coyle has nothing to be down about. He learned a valuable lesson and next time will be more patient down the stretch if the fight's in the bag.

Derry said himself had been working on the left hook all camp so its not lucky its boxing, i dont see any reason why Derry would rematch him unless it was the biggest money fight for him

Derry was ahead and stopped in a similar cirucmstance vs Martin Lindsey and there was no call for a rematch ,

Yes am involved in the sport now mate just opened a gym got amaeture club set up from it also do personal training etc ever in Liverpool your always welcome to pop in
