Harry Duiven Jr fought on an MMA show in Doncaster today. He got disqualified for and illegal blow to the back of the head.

Thought I would share my experiences of tonights UCFC show in Doncaster.

The show was originally supposed to feature Ken Shamrock vs Ian Freeman until Shamrock pulled out complaining of promoter bullshit.

It was at the Keepmoat, one side of the ground was open to fans and the cage set out on the pitch with a few rows of seats cageside, it filled up pretty nicely for the fights. The fights themselves started around 4 and were done by 7, 5 of the fights advertised did not happen and no reason was given for most of them (only the Neil Grove v Oli Thomson was announced as not happening previous to the doors opening)

For those wondering, Ian Freeman beat Ricco Rodrigez in the first round via TKO, hacked him down with leg kicks.

The real fun started after the fights, the cage had 3 walls taken down and was turned into a stage for the musical acts, the first was a guy playing covers on acoustic, the second a local rap act. half way though the rap acts set, they had to stop because of rain. this lead to professor greens headline set been cancelled.

Now, if you are going to put on a big show at a football ground, why the fornicate would you not think to put precautions out there in case it rained, imagine it had happened half way through the fight card!

There were some hilarious bits, aside from the usual MMA fans getting in fights, one guy streaked on the pitch and took a shit on the penalty spot (video coming).

Bit pissed off about it considering the ticket price I paid, but at least we got some humour out of the situation.

Kraus is a very good kickboxer and he won the inaugural K1 World Max GP tournament, which was arguably the most prestigious kickboxing tournament at his weight. I doubt, however, that his boxing was good enough for him to make more $$$ boxing than kickboxing, and given the former's larger talent pool he probably wouldn't have competed at such a high level (e.g. winning credible world titles, beating world class opponents, etc). You never know though.

I was unaware that he is a gypsy. I'd be interested in seeing a list of gypsy combat athletes who aren't British or Irish.
