Got to admire Price. He is level headed and doesn't go round talking rubbish. Really hope he can redeem himself in the division. He is on point with not having enough rounds in the bank. Blasting his opponents away wasn't helping him at all. He needs some 10 rounds under his belt, to learn the craft.

Wish him all the best. Hopefully he can get himself back up there eventually. FW would give him some direction. Maybe he should go with him.

I see a man who is still grasping at straws over what happened. I do think he has the right mindset, though, when he talks about the Lonsdale belt and defending it. He still has a long ways to go, and I think by the time he is ready, he will of been one of the most dominate British & Commonwealth champions of all time. Jesus bless.

Bring over some hardheads to take him ten rounds a couple of times, mix in some British defences. The rushed approach didn't work, now try doing it properly. Where are Everett Bigfoot Martin, Levi Billips, Marion Wilson and all the other Gods of Journeymanism when you need them?

Price and Fury might well find themselves facing each other next Christmas, after about a year of rebuilding each man. Would make for an exciting crossroads contest.

He does seem a very decent, level headed and honest man; I do think though that he is a better man than he is a boxer; with his size and power he will win more than he loses but anyone with any gumption, chin, fitness and a bit of a punch themselves will stick the early onslaught and get to him.

In a way, personality wise, he reminds me of Gerrie Coetzee. Gerrie often came across as a reluctant warrior. I'm a wee bit puzzled by his reference to sparring in Canada. The US border is not that far away if they needed veteran spar-mates. As for continuing on, I'd suggest the first thing he do is get himself examined from head to toe to make certain he's okay internaly. Then he should leave the UK and its media behind and hide himself where he can rebuild his career out of the spotlight. Canada or Australia might be good choices, or perhaps South Africa.

Part of his decency seems to be that he is grounded outside of boxing, he has a trade and a family and good friends; is it worth leaving all that behind to go half way around the world if he's not going to get to the very top?

That's something he has to decide. Is boxing what he really wants?

I can imagine the amateur thing was really good and after doing so well - Olympic competitor etc that the pro game was very appealing; he could stay in his own city, train alongside familiar people and have sparring brought to him - as well as being the 'house' fighter and the one expected to win. That seems from the outside to be a very different proposition to moving abroad and starting from scratch in a gym full of people out to prove themselves. I can remember Dennis Andries moving to Detroit after Hearns beat him and he made it work though in interviews he did speak of the sacrifices he and his family made for his success; Price seems a thoughtful and intelligent man and hope he's got good friends to help him decide.

It's an interesting reflection that Wlad only ever rematched one of the guys that chinned him.

Wlad only rematched Brewster once Brewster was coming off a loss, a year's layoff, and had a detached retina.

It may of been an honest interview, but if i was his promoter i'd be fuming.
Audley for all his faults still knew how to promote himself, with Price saying what he did how many casual fans has he lost?

He'll win more true fans in the long term by being brutally honest than by conning people into believing something that won't materialise.

Can't think of a worse place for a heavyweight boxer to reside! Hardly packed with top notch heavyweights in them areas. Perhaps they meant he could take the Bugner route? Aussie Dave has a ring to it. Might be tough to change the accent though!!!

Be interesting to see if he signs for a new promoter. Dunno if it's been mentioned on here earlier.
