I never thought I'd say this, but Khan.

Interestingly enough, Khan probably has more chance against Floyd than against someone like Mathysse. Very little chance obviously, but more chance due to styles.

Watching Khan throw his fast combos at Floyd and look faster due to workrate would be really interesting to me. But maybe it's just me.

I'm actually with you - don't think Khan could beat him, but stylistically he'd be the hardest 'gig' for Floyd from the current crop of contenders (and I use that term lightly!).

Good article by Gareth A Davies in telegraph today on the fight (he had it 119-109 fwiw).

Mayweather's not daft, he knows what the UK fans are like, he knows a fight with Khan would do huge business here.

You're onto something there.

I've never thought of that before, but Khan would be difficult as he is taller, leaner & arguably just as quick.

Also factor in that Mayweather is not a puncher, it would mean that Khan might be able to take more of a gamble & not end up on his backside so readily.

It's not often that we get to seen an ATG who is still in their prime performing in a UK ring.

Oh, he would collapse like a cheap deck chair from the first solid right hand Floyd landed but it would be a reasonable "event" over here, all things considered.

Remember Mayweather v Judah. If Khan fought at his best it would look a lot like that. Judah was faster, more powerful and more athletic than Floyd. He gave Floyd trouble for a few rounds before Mayweather worked him out and shut him out.

For that reason it could be good though. Khan's speed would make it look like he just might do it at first before the inevitable turn around.

Can't see Mayweather-Khan happening the UK to be honest, certainly not in early May. No arena is big enough to compete with the site fees the MGM Grand must pay, and it will still be football season so that rules out stadiums.

If Khan beats Alexander I can see him fighting Floyd but it will be in Vegas.

I agree.

Khan's chinny, with Mayweather's accuracy its unlikely he'd see the final bell, but if he did it could be very interesting on the cards.

I did not like Khan in his last couple of fights though, i think Virgil Hunter is having a negative effect on him. The worst thing Khan did was leave Roach.

Khan would match up well if he had a chin. You would need someone with fast hands and quick feet to have a chance but Amir is just too fragile. Floyd isn't known for one punch power but he is accurate and hits hard enough to have Khan over quite a few times I reckon.
Martinez has no chance - too slow, likewise Danny Garcia but both those fights (as well as Khan) could be sold as big events and by the time De La Hoya has brought out his blueprint once again the public will have bought into the idea that the opponent is a live one.

Golovkin is the one that interests me because he isn't just a puncher - he had a top amateur pedigree but I suspect Mayweather would neutralise him too.

Agree with Khan's speed being an intriguing factor but can't see any other outcome than a stoppage loss. Think Khan has plenty on his plate with Alexander - that would be a superb win.

Golovkin. The biggest scariest, hardest punching middleweight out there. There's no-one below 160 who could give him any more of a fight than Alvarez, he's just that good.
