Scotland is the European capital of heart attacks and ulcers. My Scottish dad has ulcers as well (this may be linked to him putting salt in his porridge, instead of sugar). It really is almost like Scotland is another country.

That would be a step backwards in my opinion.

Match room would rather make a ibf fight with shawn Pporter than Devon Alexander. So they will wait. The lee purdy fight would be a nice domestic tussle £££

Am I missing something?

Did Kell Brook stop a really tough fighter inside 4 rounds who had never been stopped like that before and then people on here moaned about it?

Jesus - anyone who says that Brook was anything but impressive and the result was anything but impressive ought to go for a check up

Just got to accept that there are numerous people on here who just do not rate him no matter what. Another reflection of the negativity around all things Wincobank as well. Best to just exercise pragmatism. I've got every faith in him. Let's see what 2014 brings.

Not at all parsons. The performance was very good no doubt but you cant annoyed with people for being frustrated with the level of competition up to now.

Also whilst Kell put in a very good showing last night, where does this thing about Senchenko being really tough come from anyway?! He's only been in with two quality operators in Malignaggi and Hatton and as we all know Malignaggi cant break an egg and Hatton was a shadow of himself and also has never been completely effective and welterweight anyway. Senchenko had never been in with anyone to prove how "tough" he was or how good his chin is. I think last night showed how good his chin is as Matt Hatton managed to go the 12 with Kell so it can be done.

Look, I am as agnostic as the next man about Brook and have to say he was impressive last night, he will be a handful for the top men, he certainly hits hard enough to cause problems. I hope his next fight is someone better or a champion, hope he's out in 3 or 4 months, I don't think the inactivity does him any good but he coped well and did the business last night.

To be fair Palooka, myself and quite a few of the other Kell "bashers" have always said Brook has talent it's just about the level of competition he's been in with and perception amongst us that he's being protected somewhat. Again, thats not saying that Kell himself wouldnt get in the ring with those top guys but you know what I mean.

I do and I like it when people speak their minds and aren't always blowing smoke about how fantastic a boxer is but the same time when a boxer does well and is moving in the right direction they have to be given some credit (or at least lay off slating them for a week or 2 :OhYes: )

I wonder whether all the legendary posters have found a special place to meet up or have been so disgusted they've turned their back on the sport and the fans.

If it's so shit on here why dont they just form their own exclusive forum where only the "insiders" and people who really know what they're talking about can congregate. Us riff raff dont meet their high standards so it might be a good idea. I mean that or make this forum by private invite or something.

That's a bit harsh pal; he's his opinion and I don't think that you're to blame for any 'decline'; I imagine that cliques build and then fold, when you or I get a proper life then we may not post here; (I am intrigued by the members that watch the treads and read the posts but don't post themselves - they must be very disciplined).

Alright fellas ive not posted much lately so am a bit rusty

Good win for Brook last night, impressive stoppage as nobodys done that to Senchenko before, worrying stagger when Kell shipped that right hand but i was well impressed with how rapid he recovered AND managed to stop Vyacheslav in the same round

I think Brook can go all the way,he is in a tough division where most of the top 10 are "elite" fighters as opposed to "world class" but id give him half a chance against Alexander,Bradley and Broner who like Brook arent without faults, the difference is Kells lack of world championship experience but there is definetly work to be done on his defence as he took too many shots last night even before he was wobbled i thought

As for his opposition so far and the fact he hasnt fought for world title yet,IMO compared to most fighters these days it has took Brook a while to get his shot but i feel thats more to do with inactivity than a matter of fighting a succesion of bums as they say, plus he did have 3 proposed bouts cancelled so nothing can be done about that, plus i reckon everyone these days wants title shots too soon, whats the rush? its better to iron out the faults before you get there so you can have a long reign

In saying that as much as id love to see Kell get his shot ASAP(thats more to do with all the waiting and cancellations) i wouldnt mind 1 more fight against a top 10 ranked fighter just to correct some of those defense flaws he showed last night, nothing that cant be fixed pretty easily i think as the boys definetly got talent :salut:
