yeah bruno boxed out of sir phillips games club just off of morland road addiscombe, i went there at the same time but i was just a kid about 9/10 .bruno would come round my house with my older brothers after training and my mum would feed him stew which i don't think frank had seen before by the look on his face , clinton mckenzie would also come round sometimes which was pretty cool as a kid for me .
my brother had his 50th last year and his X brought along pictures of him from when he was younger and there was a lot with bruno in there boxig gear training and at fights together ....i'd never noticed he was the white guy in the pictures ,well it is croydon :P :P

- "At his best Tyson was unbeatable" - He got beat at his best.
- General David Haye hate after losing to Vlad. Not his biggest fan but Undisputed cruiserweight world champ and HW world champ isn't too bad.
- Asking "who's the champion?" when watching a fight. In reality it doesn't matter a shit and half the time I dont know.
- "Why does Mayweather keep running away?"
- "Hatton would have beat Mayweather if it wasn't for the ref (Cortez)"

My wife says the same :OhYes: when I tell her he could really have a fight she looks at me like I'm daft.
to be fair, piper never looks like a fighter.
Looks like a maths teacher doesn't he, be funny if somebody tried to pick a fight with him "Oi! Speccy pudding bowl head!" only to get pasted.

Came here to post this, although it gets easier to answer with each passing week and the addition of further inter-galactic baubles.

"That was in no way a Unanimous decision" or words to that effect ...
Makes no sense at all, all judges scored it to one winner, regardless of if it was close, they all agreed on the winner, thats why its unanimous, nothing to do with how close it was.

I have to agree and it's not just casual fans, I forever hear from coaches, "my boy didn't win that fight but it should have been a majority decision not unanimous!!" What you think the other boxer deserved to win the fight but because your boxer gave him a good fight then one of the judges should give him a win on their card?

It doesn't make sense to me, maybe someone can explain it so it does?
Something similar confuses me that i've heard on here a few times; people predicting a split decision? If you think it's going to be that close why not predict a draw rather than assuming that 2 judges that you probably don't even know will think different fighters will win. Always mystified me.

More on topic. Walking back from a Hatton Vegas weigh-in when Calzaghe v Hopkins was announced. "Hopkins hasn't got a chance Joe will knock him out in 3 rounds".
