He probably seems more interested then ever to be honest. He fight is a couple of days away, not much longer to wait and he has been through all this before. Groves looks as nervous as he is probably feeling right now.orbtastic wrote:Froch just looks bored with it all.
Froch didn't ought to talk so much; he'd got tracksuit bottoms, a tee shirt and an overcoat on - if you're dressing sporty don't put a smart coat on; if you wear a smart coat don't put a tracksuit on.Lenny wrote:"what's with the pink salmon trousers, you look like a pillock"
They just don't do it in the states like we do, best put down of the whole build up
Groves has got some bottle alrightpalooka wrote:
It's a massive event for Groves to deal with, but he's coping superbly. Froch hates the fact that Groves doesn't fear him or isn't in awe of him. All this bullshit about Groves being disrespectful, coming from Froch is a joke. Froch has run his mouth off for as long as I can remember. Groves is as a deserving challenger as Froch was when he got his shot.
Grove is an underdog in every sense, and to cap it all off, he's split for his trainer in the run up to the biggest fight of his life. Does he buckle and pull out ? Not a bit of it. Huge respect to Groves and good luck !

I watched it with the sound off as I'm in the office, but also to watch the body language. He looks bored, tired and irritated with it all. Groves was just trying the Booth mindf*ck stare and he [Froch] was clearly avoiding eye contact with him but I just think he's fed up with it all now and just wants to get to fight night.Lenny wrote:He probably seems more interested then ever to be honest. Still, I maintain all this will have very little bearing on the actual fight
He didnt entirely avoid eye contact. At one point he got pretty aggressive and was getting up in Groves's face.orbtastic wrote:I watched it with the sound off as I'm in the office, but also to watch the body language. That's not actually true mate. He's got some amateur Heavyweight called Luke Wattkins with him. He was off to the side at that head to head.
columbo wrote:Groves has got some bottle alrightpalooka wrote:
It's a massive event for Groves to deal with, but he's coping superbly. Huge respect to Groves and good luck !I can imagine as irritating that it is for Froch to be in the company of Groves the opposite is also true. That Groves has kept his head, it hasn't been one way sniping, shows a lot of maturity. I have noticed that Froch does like his people to be there and to be close whereas Groves is very much up there on his own.
He was there to pull them apart if things got too heated; Froch had a big fellow stood just behind him too; I can't see Eddie being much cop in a shin kicking contest.
palooka wrote:That's not actually true mate. He probably thinks there'll hypnotise froch in some waychiggsy wrote:WHATS WITH THE SALMON PINK TROUSERS!!!!
Often the way, all the swagger and Braggadoccio evaporates as the fight draws near. Froch called him out there, and frankly, Groves looked like he had nothing to disagree with.danconnollyeire wrote:I thought Froch didn't seem confident in the build up and Groves was becoming more and more cocky... after watching that video my opinion completely changed.

Yeah, made me laugh out loud...also, just after that Carl says 'bloody hell, what's that about.'Lenny wrote:"what's with the pink salmon trousers, you look like a pillock"

Froch spoke over the top of him and didn't really come up for air.jamesmcdonnell wrote:Often the way, all the swagger and Braggadoccio evaporates as the fight draws near. Of course, all will be revealed on the night, but Groves seemed very meek there, as dawn approaches, the condemned man realises the enormity of what he's facing and all the fears begin to surface.
Remind me, sound wasn't very good.Sklar wrote:Groves easily delivered the wittiest line of the exchange, although most people probably won't have picked up on it.
Like the previous head to head they were muttering a lot to each other so it wouldn't surprise me if something quite witty was missed in there.palooka wrote:Remind me, sound wasn't very good.Sklar wrote:Groves easily delivered the wittiest line of the exchange, although most people probably won't have picked up on it.
