How on earth mate can you judge someones performance when they sustained a broken jaw in the 2nd round

In honesty Ricky seems to box better when he is the underdog. He is going to be in this fight. A fighter learns after every fight and I'm sure Ricky would of learned a lot from the last 2. Hype or no Hype with Crawford he is very good at everything but this is a step up for him and we will see if he is at this level. I think we will see the best ever Ricky Burns and that's all he can do win, lose or draw guaranteed he will give it his all

It was a joke, Billy. And the judges didn't know that when they were scoring it and even if they did it shouldn't affect their scoring. I actually have a lot of respect for Ricky. I was there at his last loss and am amazed at what he's gone on to achieve.

Not at all mate, under no circumstances will Ricky be rushed, he's getting himself very fit just now and we will start sparring when we feel we need to.

I thought this aswell, im sure hearn was in the press last week saying feb 8th at the Hydro had been booked, i am assuming that would be stuck to. The Hydro has events on the 1st and the 22nd which are Saturdays so it would leave the 8th, 15th of feb or first of march -but im sure it has be fought before the end of feb

Also i see Burns has added a strength and conditioning coach to his team,

Well you assume wrong the fight will be set to suit Ricky after all he is the title holder

Cornish will certainly not be on this he is a allegedly fighter. As for Clark only way I can see Hearn putting him on is against one of his fighters. No way that's happening or maybe against one of Morrisons but if you look at who .. Ryan Collins, it's a bit too early for him to step up against Ronnie so rightly I don't think this would happen. Michael Roberts Jnr?? A lot of Scottish fight fans want to see this one including me. We knew this fight won't happen and that's a real shame. So that only leaves John Simpson, I think both fighters would take this in a heart beat. But from a fighter point of view.. John can't really afford another loss on his record a defeat against Ronnie would ultimately end his career. I would think risk to reward is too high for John.. I think Hearn should push for Simpson v Warrington for British and Commenwealth titles at featherweight. As for Ronnie again why fight Simpson when you have a title eliminator against John Kay's again risk to reward for Ronnie would be very low.. Will Hearn bid for the purse on this one? I doubt it. I think Hearn is more interested in money and not building boxing in Scotland. Only chance of this being on TV is if Warren bids to put it on the Undercard of Sykes v Walsh. I expect the winning bid to be either Gilmour or Wood

Well you assume wrong the fight will be set to suit Ricky after all he is the title holder

Jose Gonzalez would be a good sparring partner to prepare Ricky for Crawford if you could persuade him to come over Billy. Both slick counter punching, switch hitters with punching power.

I thought Selby v Munroe was just European title.. Could of just been for the commonwealth. We will see when the purse bids go on mate. Would be a good fight to show and builds up the Super Feather domestic scene

I hope so Billy. I'd honestly rather than see him vacate than rush into a fight he's not ready for. It's a serious injury he's got and nobody would blame him for preparing properly for it however long that takes

Walsh-Sykes is set for the York Hall, so I can't see any point in putting Kays-Clark on the undercard down there, would do a lot better up in the North West or in Scotland.

What about slowey v Warrington on the undercard for commonwealth ,I think Simpson will fight at sf next

Not a bad shout that fight very simliar records and matchroom have used both fighters on their shows b4. Only saw slowey once nice little boxer saw josh a few times and rate him highly imo josh on points.

Towers and Browne are with Hatton. The rest are with the likes of Wood and Coldwell, so while they're with other promoters, they don't have TV deals, so they're happy for the fighters to be on Matchroom shows. They don't work with Warren though, unless purse bids and mandatories are involved.

As much as I like Slowey Warrington would stop him, Different levels for me! was really impressed with him again monumienne,
