I am celebrating Christmas in Las Vegas and my girlfriend and I are walking through the shoppes at Caesars Palace and notice there is a large African American gentleman who appears to be in his seventies signing autographs at the Field of Dreams sports memorabilia store. Upon further inspection I realize it's Jim Brown. Naturally I am excited to see an athlete that many consider to be one of the greatest athletes to have ever lived.

When I get some spare time I post on a sports board I frequent that I saw the GOAT running back sincere in the knowledge that the members of the board will be interested in learning more about what it was like to see Jim Brown. But much to my chagrin they would rather discuss the etymology of the word "GOAT" , if Jim Brown is worthy of the honorific, and maligning me for using the term.

Boys, that's where we find ourselves here.

Oh, happy new year.
I have my doubts about this 'girlfriend'. Sounds like more delusions from your sick mind.

Yup, desperate for attention. If you have a girlfriend, it's the first piece of ass you've ever had.

Is your 'girlfriend' hanging on your every word and celebrating your self proclaimed 'victories'? You truly are one sick bastard. Though I shouldn't pile on. This is a rough time of the year for lonely people like yourself. While you're a useless poster, I wouldn't want to be responsible for you offing yourself. Hang in there little fella, maybe you'll get a date next year. :TU:

Wow, three edits and it's still illiterate. Somebody is upset and trying far too hard.

I started an innocuous thread and you gentlemen are lambasting me. I am merely responding.

Do I hold Muhammad Ali in high esteem for his athletic prowess? In no higher esteem than I hold other athletes such as Willie Mays, Jim Brown, and currently LeBron James however I don't think LeBron has come close to scaling the heights those two other gentlemen have.

My original post is there for all to see... A unbiased observer couldn't begin to understand or explain the brouhaha it created.

The punctuation and spelling is just fine. Somebody is trying too hard and it isn't me.

Several off us saw through your attempts to lure in your buddy for a troll war and you've been crying about it ever since. Don't worry, nobody expects anything more from you. We know the quality you bring to the forum, nothing.

It's far from fine. Take a deep breath and give it another try. The fourth edit might be the one!

Now there is a solid edit. Though the error was pretty egregious to begin with since you were quoting it spelled properly.

You care desperately, that's why you go on and on about nothing and that's why you get so upset. Now this post is a mess. It's going to take several edits to repair.

What error?

The "error" occurred because you hang on my every word and I wanted to add another thought before you immediately responded. I don't blame you for hanging on my every word. I'm pretty sure you don't run in the most intelligent of circles.

You spelled 'too' wrong and then you went back and changed it. You still need to address the triple edit post.

I'm intelligent enough to help you write without looking like a 3 year old. I'm not the one that can't distinguish between two, to & too. And I certainly know the difference between would and wound.

Your little condescending act doesn't work here. All it's doing is making you look like a fool and getting you upset. Everyone is prone to spelling errors and typo's. When you're trying to pretend you're an intellectual and still have issues after 3 edits, you're failing. An emotion I'm sure you're quite familiar with.

Perhaps you're just too upset to write properly. I suppose that's a possible explanation. Take your time, you're butchering this page too badly to scream VICTORY!!!!!!!!

Why would I be upset? I made an innocuous post on a internet message board and am being crucified. I'm not delusional enough to think I'm Jesus but I do feel like a martyr.

Earlier you said several other posters feel as you do. Actually it was only two...In any case it was a angry mob that killed Jesus.

There we go, vintage you trying to play the victim after your passive aggressive bullshit gets you in trouble. Now I see you're having difficulty distinguishing between two and three. I hope you're upset, the alternative is a new level of stupidity for an allegedly grown man.

In case you didn't notice I ignored your puerile taunts for several months and actually tried to be civil because I knew if I responded in kind I would find myself in the pissing match I find myself in now.

I believe there were four other participants in this thread beside myself; you, hhaere, tomasino, and senor pipino. However senor pipino was able to stay on topic and actually asked me about Leon. That leaves two other posters beside yourself who hijacked my innocuous thread in a desperate gambit to malign me, as I correctly stated.

But keep hanging on my every word. Eventually I will make another typographical error or in my haste incorrectly use a homonym. That will allow you to claim victory and assuage your fragile ego.

A truly nice person.
He seemed so then and he seemed so back in 1978.

You're the one claiming victory. I'm just indulging a clown on a slow work day. You don't have to find yourself in anything, by all means STFU. Be the bigger man. Walk away, I don't argue with myself.

We are now up to two posters who seem to be more interested in Leon Spinks than me. That's progress...After all a former world heavyweight champion should be of more interest on a boxing message board than some random poster.
