If Froch fights Chavez it's win win. If he loses the Groves fight is still on.
If he loses with Groves the Chavez fight is off.
Wants to pick up two paycheck's can't blame him can you?

Groves possibly wants £2 million to cover the frustration he will have for the rest of his career after losing twice to Froch.

Insane he should turn down a million+ though, how many world titles are fought for across the globe for a hell of a lot less? The kid needs a reality check.

I would guess that a 7 figure offer has been made, but there will likely be a number of add-ons, caveats, qualifications and riders. And therefore, I don't believe that Groves has turned down a straight-cash £1m+ offer (which is what the story/Team Froch would like us to think).

To be honest, I think 500k is a good offer, if he has turned down a mill then he is deluded.

If he don't fight Carl he will do well to earn a tenth of that for his next fight!

Presumably there is an options/rematch clause in that offer, it's just good business sense...but it does mean there is more to it than a 7 figure offer.

Anyway, I'm not entirely sure how a mandated IBF fight alters this, as it doesn't go to purse bids, does it? Or does it? I thought that only happened for vacant title fights but seem to recall Wlad/Povetkin went to purse bids as it was mandated.

Or Froch could just vacate, obviously.
