I wonder where all the people are that "would give froch credit if he gave the rematch?" They seem to be very quiet.

I think many people overlook the fact that groves came undone as soon as carl actually put something together.

As for the "if he'd have got on his bike" argument, Groves couldn't. Hes was starting to unravel and blow a little bit.

Froch may have got old, hes had some serious fights, but I cant see groves doing better than last time (and that wasn't enough)

I feel like Groves did as best as he could the first time around. He just doesn't seem to have the engine to keep Froch off much past the middle rounds, and I don't think he's durable enough to successfully fight through the trenches with him. I also don't like his chances of scoring a stoppage before he starts to slow down.

I think Froch will probably win again.

Or possibly the whole first 6 rounds of punishment could have been in some part due to that massive punch in round 1. Or it may have been due to Groves speed as you're saying. That's what makes this so interesting, so many unanswered questions from the last fight. I like both as fighter, Froch more due to what he's done in his career. But I will have a good laugh at the plebs who have to be one or the other and can't see things clearly.

This fight is a rarity these days as I can genuinely see any outcome, I'd be surprised if Groves stops Froch because of Carl's chin but it's still possible, Froch could wear Groves down and stop him, Groves could outbox Carl for a points win or Carl could use his jab to better affect and put Groves under pressure and win a close points decision. There's even a slight chance draw after a back and forth war. Cannot wait, and I hope it's a the City ground as just up the A453 for me!

People keep saying this but George isn't thick. Hopefully, he would've been working on stamina ever since the first fight... if he has then Carl could have a tougher fight

Great news & it had to happen, though to be honest I think the massive pressure to take this fight has over ruled Froch and his team's inclination to give this rematch a miss. They'll know that Groves is only going to get better, with the added vital big fight experience, while Froch is the aging warrior, who's almost certainly on the slide.

You feel the last fight will have taken more out of Carl than Groves.

I wonder how the bookies will have it..50/50 probably, with a slight edge to the champion - though I reckon it's the other way round.

Also interesting, is this is the first time Froch has gone in to a fight knowing the other guy can seriously hurt him.

Home advantage counts for nothing. Its all about making money hence the biggest stadium (thats available) for the least money.

The bookies have Froch a clear favourite at 4/7. As they should. Best for Groves is 2/1. I expect a lot of money to come in on Groves though after the outcry last time, to distort the odds.

Got to disagree with you MW, I don't think Groves is going to get better at all. He peaked in the first fight in all likelihood. Froch can definitely improve on that though, and not being floored by a huge right hand this time around will help an awful lot.

I have a feeling this fight will be totally different from the first in that Froch won't be bossed early, will have much more success in the first half and will have Groves out of there before 8. I think Groves will know he has to conserve energy so will be overly careful at the start to compensate, and that will play into Froch's hands and give Carl those couple of rounds he needs to get his own rhythm.

Froch is a coward, Froch will run a mile from this one, Froch knows he'll get beat so wont take it - to quote a few.
Then some of the absolute crap about this being made for Wazza via purse bids.
