I really can't see this getting the 70/80k that Eddie thinks it will, I hope it does but I just can't see it. Tickets would have to be very sensibly priced for a massive crowd and that's probably not going to be feasible with all the costs involved.
If Eddie is adamant that it will attract the numbers he has quoted then we are looking at Old Trafford or the Emirates. Thinking about both stadiums, the Emirates is probably more suited to boxing.

It's going to be interesting to see where it will eventually be held. If it is Old Trafford or the Emirates then there will have to be a lot of marketing and publicity done to get the crowd that such a venue would warrant. If it does turn out to be the City Ground then all the talk of 80k was just a bit of excited bluster by gorgeous Eddie.

I wouldn't like to comment on Manchester being better than London because I don't know London well enough, also, I don't think you're comparing like with like, size-wise.

I'd like to see this fight on the top of a very good bill. Can't remember what the last one was, but I don't think it was that big.

Personally, I prefer Manchester as a night out.

The first fight did not legitimately do 20,000 in 11 minutes, there was whole blocks available for sale online within a day, of those who bought the tickets on the first day, most will have sold the tickets on for a profit. You're seriously overestimating the demand for the fight by believing fast car's figures.

personally I think he's a complete blagger. Big fight this, British public that...I don't see any special skill in what he does. You could have staged Haye Fury in my back garden or across the road and given me a free ticket and I'd have gone for a walk instead. But as a big George Groves fan of some time I really wanted to go to that fight, only I didn't know the tickets went on sale so early. So when I heard that afternoon that they were all sold out I didn't think I'd even had a chance to get any, so I was really fcked off. Sold out in 11 minutes?? For Boxing??? Get fcked!

It's not some going when for £600-£700 you can get a program that makes thousands of applications for tickets in seconds.
