There was nothing wrong with it. He looked bad whilst on his feet.

It wasn't a bad stoppage. He was like a puppet on a string leading up to that knockdown.

Watt eventually came round to Halling's point of view there but he wasn't too convinced!

Was only going one way if it continued.
Cardle is nothing special though

Appleby was done, and he was going to take unnecessary punishment. This was not a world title fight.

I didn't think the stoppage was all that bad. That knockdown gave Cardle the lead on the scorecard to the point that just surviving the round (which is likely all he was going to do) would have been a very pointless accomplishment and he would've lost.
I've seen far worse stoppages than that, maybe Applebee should've been allowed to go on, but he didn't look to have anything left to turn the tide in his favor.

Never been impressed with Cardle, not sure how far he will go.
Where's he from? Thought he was a Manchester lad but he sound Scottish.

Using that logic journeymen fights shouldn't be allowed because every time they get punched they are taking unnecessary punishment and they aren't in world title fights.
Heck last weekends thriller wouldn't have gone beyond 1 knockdown.

I guess my stream is on a delay, you guys were all talking about the KO there in the Cardle fight while I still hadn't seen it yet.

There's some negativity on this thread. Everyone's shite and going nowhere!
Apart from that the stoppage was fine.

When comms want us to believe the guys are better than they are I think we tend to magnify the flaws...that's why a lot of us seem so negative

I thought the stoppage was fair enough. Appleby had gone, fallen apart. He wasn't going to win on the cards, he wasn't going to trouble Cardle he was only going to get hurt.
Good performance from Cardle.

Yeah I am pretty negative in general I won't deny that. But I just say what I see and Cardle doesn't really impress me.

Fair point! I wouldnt say going nowhere! Just not above domestic level! There's no shame in that though. It's just that the sky hype machine hypes these guys to be far better than they are

I wouldn't mind them hyping them if they at least acknowledged the weaknesses.

I think that's bang on. At the moment there is so much hype surrounding the likes of Campbell, Joshua and Ogogo and everything said is positive, positive, positive. When you constantly get that it is natural that people will look for flaws and tp be fair sometimes just say it as it is which commentators don't very often do.
