Yes, Flair would put the figure four on Clay while he squealed for the "Nation" to save him.

The Horsemen would be right there waiting to stomp the hatred out of their despicable asses.

I would've certainly been interesting if Cooper's hook landed earlier, he done well to get up so quickly to be fair as Cooper could whack with his left hook. Cooper was very cut prone so it wasn't a big surprise when it happened again, getting cut was a concern before the fight. What is exaggerated however is the break between rounds, none of the newspaper reports I have seen from that time mention any delay, it seems to be a story that has grown legs over time, mainly perpetuated by Cooper and the British press. It has been timed since and only said to be 5 seconds longer.

More cringeworthy, totally fictitious quotes from duce. Obviously he didn't even bother to research how Henry Cooper spoke before writing this latest script.

I haven't checked in on this man's work for months. I'm fairly alarmed that he is still consumed by Muhammad Ali 24/7, without any sign of let up. Obviously there is no point in mocking it anymore as it is clearly a mental issue. If a moderator were to do his job and ban duce, thus denying him his life's one avenue of pleasure, I am fairly certain it would kill him.

Il Duce....your quotes seldom equal an ounce....scarcely a gram of truth to be found in any of them.

Il Duce, how good was Henry Cooper? Style, skills, left jab, left hook (strongest punch), right hand, power, speed, body attack, strength, stamina, durability, footwork, ring general, defense and chin.

yeah ive just checked again after a few months.

its just reduced to a 'cassius clay what a bum' type of rant now

for me, i think il duce is still stuggling to cope with the reality that the slaves were freed and a black boxer in the sixties decided to change his slave name.

il duce is like the soldier hiding out in the jungles who still thinks the vietnam war is going on.

hes a silly man

Il Duce, before you reply to someone else, can you please tell me how good was Henry Cooper like I ask on Leotis Martin and Thad Spencer?

I post hundreds of 'positive' articles about Black Boxers, yet I post a few 'negative' threads about Cassius Clay
and I'm called a 'silly man', and some even state that I'm 'a racist'.

You sound a lot like Muhammad Ali, who said that the reason he lost to Joe Frazier in the {FOTC} was because of.........'3' very white judges.

Didn't he have a tendency to experience cuts?

Tommy Little was a pretty useful boxer in his day and a sparring partner to my grandfather.

From what I've heard, he was probably better as a boxer than he was as a referee. Still, I don't think he deserved to be spoken about like that.

If that quote is accurate, then it isn't the smartest thing Ali ever said!

Tommy Little allowed the split-glove incident to take place plus the illegal use of smelling salts. A stricter or more 'on the ball' referee might have got the fight back underway sooner and/or pulled the Ali corner up on their infringements. So, contrary to what is said in the quote, Tommy Little's handling of the fight may well have - inadvertently - preserved Ali's unbeaten record and shaped boxing history.

'No'

He suffered cuts when hit around the eye's from fists and banged head-butts.

But he did 'not' have a tendency to experience cuts.

Why, yes, yes it does. Thanks Tommasino, I appreciate the ol crazy face you were able to create. The money you momma invested in your art lessons worked out fine!

I'll put you down as one of those who think Duce should not be tolerated. (I'm making a list, and checking it twice) lol.

For those who feel threatened by Il Duce's creative ways, imaginative frolics, and offensive (to some), yet not dangerous opinions.

I do t know what my "momma" has to do with you and Duce, or anything else for that matter. However the only two people who have ever referenced her on here are you two guys, Buzzy and Duchie.

Tomasino,

sir please accept my apology, I shall never speak of her again. I meant no disrespect to her....though I see it was taken that way.

I am no fan of Il Duce's creative and seemingly deceptive ways at times. And you are no fan of my tolerance for same.

I understand this, and accept your critical words with as much grace and poise as I can muster. I'll avoid the temptation of using what I consider to be humor to mask my reactive nature to your jabbing comments regarding my style of "banter".

No they are a legacy....and this too shall pass. Lol. We've had quite the assortment of "visionaries" such as Duce...they come they go. They get "condensed" See pink Cadillac thread for context.

You are a racist.
You are a homophobe.
You are a spammer.
You are a troll.
You are a liar.
You have not started a "few negative threads" about Muhammad Ali, you have started dozens if not hundreds.

Let there be no mistaking any of these things.

'After 3-Bouts', they pointed me back home after I fouled the 'strudel' out of their 'Hero' Erich Schoppner.

"Here I was, a 24 year-old 'flopping British Heavyweight' with a record of 15-7-1."
If you had the faintest idea what you were talking about, you'd know Cooper thought that he was brilliant against Kalbfell, and that the draw against Neuhaus and the disqualification against Schoppner were both scandalous robberies (Schoppner had to be revived to be given the good news that he'd won the fight).

harry Carpenter once described Cooper as 'near haemophiliac'

i suspect Carpenter was in the pay of the Nation of Islam

can you go away and research that for a few months?
