I kind of agree with the thread - this year is going to sort out brook one way or the other.

We'll see in Brooks next fight; it would have been better if we'd have seen him in with someone real world class before he challenges for the title. He may cope really well with the step up in class and he may find the leap from Senchenko and Carson Jones too much - Porter was a very good amateur and seized his chance with both hands and looked confident and capable. Should be a good fight.

I do. I think Alexander would have beaten Brook too. I hope Kell does win but I've not actually seen anything from him that makes me think he will.

I'm not sure if you were addressing me Parson; I've only seen Porter box Alexander and I've watched a few of Brooks bouts on TV. Porter has moved up pretty well in 5 years as a pro and he was a national amateur champ at middleweight, he looks a sturdy boxer. It depends a lot on where the bout is and if Brook is coming down from a high weight; if he's training to beat Porter in camp then he's powerful enough to grab his moment, if he's training in camp to make weight then Porter will outhustle him.

I like Kell Brook, I think he can win a world tittle if he carries on training right.

May have misread your post but it seemed like you'd already decided Porter would beat Mallinaggi and therefore be Kell's opponent.
Do you think that's a foregone conclusion ?

IF Kell gets his shot in July ??? & WINS then he better not fight a string of patsy's as i cant deal with another 4 years of treading water

he needs to fight a top 5 welterweight in his first defence

I think it's about 70-30 that Porter will win; Paulie has peaked and is still a very skillful and gutsy boxer though Porter is still on the way up. I think he'll outhustle and bully Paulie though would do very well to stop him; I've been wrong many times before though.
