I was covering the fight for Boxing News and i mentioned that i thought it was a poor stoppage. Take Adam's point, we were at one side of the ring when and it certainly looked an early stoppage.
Towell, love that style of fighting, he took 3 to and 1. A very good prospect who may just need to slow down a bit but that will come with experience and he has plenty of time for that.
I think a rematch should happen although there is no need for Pagan to be disheartened, most gave him the first 2 rounds before being caught. I was impressed with Pagans calmness when under huge pressure, he picked his shots well.
Laskowski deserved his win
Peacock did a good job winning every round vs Till
Clark was made to work by a solid Mooney but the fight will do Clark good for his eliminator
Carslaw took to many punches but still a deserved winner
Kelly was excellent stopping Khan, hope fully Kelly vs Campbell 3 can be made

Re: Saturday's show in Paisley
The show Saturday was very entertaining and had some good bouts, the stoppage in the last fight was maybe a tad early but I think Mikey Towell would have got to him in the next round imo. But I suppose you never really know what would have happened if it had been allowed to go on.
I'm sure Rhys and his team will push for the rematch and I for one would like to see it again but there is no rush for Rhys he is still young only 20 I think and he has a long career ahead of him if matched correctly!
Mikey Towell has improved alot under the guidance of Jamie Coyle an he has already improved his style without taking away any of his aggressive come forward style!! He actually executed his gameplan to a tee, he told me on Thursday night what he planned to do and that's exactly how he came out. His words '' I'll catch him at some point and I'll hurt him!!'' and '' I'll smash up his body so hard he'll be pissing blood for a week!!'' he did both of these things and I'm sure Jamie Coyle will be happy at how he went about the fight.
