Cant see why Sykes would move up a weight. He isnt really a big Super Feather, plus he has no punch at the weight he is so I see no point in that.

There is bigger fights at lightweight than at Super Feather. He already has 2 wins over Anthony Crolla. Is there not a rule that if he is British Champion that he can challenge for the title at the next weight up? Flanagan will beat Mathews and a rematch between Sykes and Flanigan would be a great fight. The prizefighter final was very close. I think it all comes down to where Gary's ambitions lie. Styles make fights I think they will see more big fights at Lightweight. Gary is quite tall for a Superfeather so would carry well up the weights. Saying that I can't see him giving up the British title for no reason. When Ronnie beats Troy I would love to see him in with Gary as their styles mix to a great fight. What's the odds of Walsh pulling out of the Fury v Chisora card??

Yes I agree Team Troy are going to be very embarrassed.. Is it Team Troy or Team James?? I think Team Troy sounds better more kind of gladiator like.. We heard there is a good noodle bar in Coventry that's the reason we are going down the fight is 2nd to that..

Been told this morning Troy has pulled out of the fight. A lot of people already paid for hotel rooms etc to be let down.

Just been told about this from Tommy Gilmour, The reason for the pull out is a cut eye to Troy James.

Im happy hopefully I can watch the fight on the new date. Shame for both lads and ronnies fans who had payed out for hotels and coaches so close to the fight but it happens.

Sorry to hear about this and for all of those who had booked travel. I had been told by someone that he cut his eye over a week ago and they were seeing how it healed. Obviously not well enough.

On a positive note, Ronnie gets to keep his unbeaten record!!

Its been agreed once so no reason a new date cant b set as it is an eliminator.

That's shocking it happened a week ago!! If that's the case it just shows kind of people your dealing with because they were all talk on twitter 2 days ago

The cut happened 2 and a half weeks ago. Nothing was said. Was done sparring Terry Flannigan. Troy Continued to spar since and fight was called off this morning. Troy and his team having banter on twitter 2 days ago no talk of a cut. If the cut in sparring is as horrific as they say surely an experienced cuts man Dean Edwards would know straight away. We all know what the plan is they know Walsh is pulling out of the fight with the winner of Sykes v Kay's so they want that. I hope the board do the right thing. We will see

From what i gather, it is all genuine. The cut was serious and they were keen to continue with the fight. Some cuts heal better than others and if it's going to open inside a round or two in the biggest fight of your career then it's a tough decision.

When the cut happened ronnies camp should have been told and show pushed back or whatever needed done, people have paid flights , hotels and busses within the last 2 weeks, people naturally have curious minds and on boxrec dean said they fight will not be happening, when the fight is called for again they will think ronnie is going to think twice but ronnie is knocking

He got cut sparring Flannigan must of clashed knee to head.. No way could that of been a head clash. Ones 5ft 10 the others 5ft 3!! Fact is cuts happen fair enough but 2 and a half weeks ago come on?? And to continue sparring!! In my opinion it's a lot of bull. I actually really like Troy James and had a lot of respect for Dean Edwards he always said it as it is. But let's be honest this doesn't all add up. Ronnie would never do that to a fighter. He was injured for the Walsh fight he said straight away.

Listen lads, we are truly gutted, but there's nothing that could be done. It's unfortunate but it's the way it is, we waited to see if it would heal and left it about 10 days, used a full face headguard, half a tub of Vaseline and some germoline new skin which is like a hardened glue when it dries, unfortunately the cut still opened again, we left it until Wednesday this week and tried the same again but with paper stitches over it aswell, it opened again, at this point we had no choice but to postpone, Troy is desperate for the fight to go ahead but the decision has been taken out of his hands. There's no underhandedness or alternative motive, it is what it is. We like and have respect for you all too lads, believe me when I tell you this couldn't of been avoided, obviously has humans your gonna be suspicious but like I said, it is 100% genuine.

We chose to continue with one of our other fighters ( Chris Keane) in a important fight when he wasn't very well and we paid the price, all because we was all to proud to pull out or postpone, we will never make that mistake again at any cost, our lads health & well being & careers comes first

How long u expect troy to b out for mate. Hope the fight gets remade no reason why it shouldn't
