Jones is a total disgrace. That's twice he has failed a test against Lebedev. He also failed a test against Nelson, years ago, so we can probably assume that he has been cheating for a long, long time. Awful.

The abuse against Bunce is unbelievable. Last night he kept viewers informed, filled in as best he could, and apologised repeatedly for the lack of the fight going ahead. What more is needed ? He did seem to have a bit of an agenda against a journalist who - in his eyes - had gone too far on twitter. I don't think he should be stoned to death for it though :D

He doesn't work to a script, and he shoots from the hip and makes it up as he goes along. That is not an easy thing to do. I think he does a good job and is entertaining.

He went off on the guy and cursed him out because he reported that another source was indicating that Jones failed the test (which he did). Then instead of apologizing or taking back his comments, Bunce continued attacking the journalist and repeatedly made condescending remarks directed to the online boxing community, which is typical for him. All he does is ramble and talk shitt as if he's on a throne above us, and that's not my thing---but hey, he's a character!!!!

LOL at the abuse being 'unbelievable'. He was totally unprofessional and deserves all the criticism he is getting.

I didn't think Bunce was out of order, although maybe a tad hypocritical....was having a go at journos twittering "rumours" about the fight being off, but at the same time was getting calls that the fight was off from sources via twitter....if rumours are bad and these journos were bad for starting them...then why add fuel by stating what the rumours are on TV.

I thought Bunce and Lillis handled it quite well.
Jones is the villain here.

I'd argue his mislead fans, Gilberto Mendoza and Ben Jacobs were the ones doing the informing. Bunce has misled fans numerous times, did he not report, on ESPN that Khan v Mayweather was a done deal as well...

I think his problem stems back to the fact he isn't exactly a fan of online boxing sites, where anyone can post whatever rubbish they like, without any real editorial input. In his eyes using rumours as a journalistic source is unacceptable and you should wait until there's more evidence before running with the story.

How many times has Bunce dropped a rumour to make himself out to be the man in the know ? There's one Promotor who often fed him bullshit knowing he'd put it out there just for a wind up.

However, I think that Khan against Mayweather is made. Everyone seems to know it will be him who steps in the ring with the American next May

Bang on - Bunce was bitter for being beaten to the proverbial punch by one of these web journalists he depises so much.

He is a grumpy old to$$er at times, there is no dressing it up.

I only watched a bit of it, but from what I saw, Bunce was self righteously tearing into some journo for reporting "rumours", then was left very red faced when it turned out the journo was bang on - so instead of giving credit where it's due, blow hard Bunce tried to brazen it out by saying his point still stood - when really, he'd been shown up as the cheer leading wind bag he is.

Jones was backed up by many many people on here saying he was robbed when only given a draw against Nelson. Fuckin cheating bastard.
Same people extolling the virtues of Buncey as THE man in commentary. Fuckin useless. Give me Nelson any day.
Short memories? Jones was robbed against Nelson, people didn't know he'd been juicing at the time. With regards to the judging, two wrongs don't make a right

Exactly. Seem to recall he billed some hapless boxer's home town as being a pig sty slum the other day - then when he was called out on it, tried to brazen that one out too.

Your response just underlines the point.
Fuckin drug cheating tosser brings game into disrepute but you still want to argue against the decision.
TT - sick to death of Buncey. Self righteous wind bag.

Yes, but the contradiction was he was trying to get the word from Lillis and John Bentley (backstage) who were just really reading these twitter feeds and nothing substantial.

Have to admit when Nelson first came on the scene I wasnt that keen but he's grown on me a lot. Also his I-film london interviews really show him in another light in regards to what a laugh he is.

The abuse Bunce gave the journalist was over the top. The journalist was also saying Burns-Vasquez was off when others were still trying to talk the fight up. Is that where the agenda came from?
