Technical UD. Hilariously, all the judges scored the fifth, despite it being called off with the fighters standing in their corners awaiting the bell to start the fifth.
Fvcking abortion of officiating.

The fight should of been stopped near the end of the 4th, when Donaire turned away because he had blood in his eye.

I'm with you. 4 officials, 4 Top Rank shills.
Referee: "Should I stop the fight?"
WBA official: "Well...Donaire is ahead so yeah"
Referee: "But I didn't call the cut a headbutt cut"
WBA official: "It doesn't matter. Call it one now"

What the hell was that all about
Donaire seemed to be refereeing his own fight there

Complete farce. Macau makes a lot of money when ND fights.

Most definitely. The Ref was dancing to the beat of Nonito's drum no doubt.

I think that left hand caused the cut. It was a jab...slight hooking motion, but more a jab than a hook. That I think caused it. Not a headbutt.

Yep, totally. I've not seen a fighter call his own time-out to speak to the doctor before.
Nucking futs that whole fight & makes our officiating look like a faultlessly applied, rigorously policed system.

Yep, I thought that too. The snappy jab seemed a "cutting" punch, if you know what I mean & it was the only thing I definitely saw that landed flush on the area that bled, imo.

I thought that boxer who lost to David Lemieux last week did the same thing but it is strange.

TBF he took a knee for that, Donaire just walked backwards

Agreed - the cut seemed to be a left hook, which is why no head-butt was called - though Nonito decided it was, by throwing himself to the canvas, and the referee did exactly as he was told.
Honest Bob Arum will be very satisfied that everyone was reading from the right script.

You guys mustve watched it on a different feed but the headbutt was clearly shown several times in the feed I watched.

Looked like an elbow and not a headbutt...

There heads touching was shown several times. Not with any kind of force that would cut somebody.

It was a headbutt. Right before they clinched then ND threw a punch while in the clinch then Vetyeka threw that looping right that missed but the referee motioned a punch behind the head and Nonito went down.

Well check that. Nonito is now saying the elbow was the one that cut him...

Vetyeka deserves a rematch. That was obviously the slashing jab that sliced Donaire's eye. While Nonito was definitely ahead, mostly on the KD, the fight was close. If it was going to be stopped it should have been earlier. Donaire kept calling timeout.
Kudos to Donaire for offering Vetyeka a rematch.

Offering something that you know can't be accepted due to other parties is hardly worthy of Kudos.
