Fw announced this fight for the o2 show fury Eubank undercard . But ive been told walsh camp no nothing of this fight and it hasnt been agreed.

Its been on the Allegedly website for about a week now,i assumed it was a done deal

Board hadn't heard of the fight either, very reason I enailed someone who has not made the weight since his pro debut cannot fight for a title, it's totally against why the board have ranking systems etc and order eliminators, especially someone who couldn't make 2lbs above weight, think troy should be getting the shot and may well fight for a vacant title,

Yes they can.

It is/was a voluntary defence, rankings and eliminators had nothing to do with it.

Evans made 2lbs above the weight.

3 attempts .2 hours after weigh in, so technically he didn't make the weight, and as for a mandatory I think you will find the board have to sanction it, he can't just fight anyone like you are suggesting, if the board do not see it as a credible fight it doesn't happen, if the board have any concerns they can pull the plug on the fight,

He didn't make it at the first attempt, then made it within the period allowed after he missed it first time, so yes, he made the weight.

The board have to sanction the fight, but it's rare for them to refuse a voluntary, the only one I can remember recently is Paul Smith v Tobias Webb. I wasn't suggesting he could fight anyone, just pointing out that you talking about eliminators and rankings was completely irrelevant.

No rankings arnt irrelevant as you need a decent record to be sanctioned, also either was eliminators as the purpose is for safety of boxer doing the weight, therefor having no eliminators or fights at the weight goes against you, he didn't make weight first time or second time, 3rd attempt at a catch wright doesn't look good at all, very unprofessional if you ask me,

He's 13 unbeaten and had a good win last time out, as far as I'm aware the board don't have rankings, they definitely aren't published. Eliminators have nothing to do with making the weight, they're to find a credible mandatory challenger to the title and to allow fighters that aren't chosen for a voluntary defence a route to a title fight. Struggling at the weight doesn't look good, but if he's confident he can make 9st 4lbs and Walsh and his team think he can, it shouldn't be a problem, Rocky Fielding missed the weight by half a stone last year, then came in half a pound under 4 months later, if you make a mess of the weight it's always going to be harder to make weight.

I hear Liam Walsh has pulled out of his voluntary defence fight for the show on 28th feb ummmmm I wonder why or whats going on there ?

Fehintola is ranked 80th in the Commonwealth & 40th in Britain by BoxRec at light welterweight.

He shouldn't be fighting for the Commonweath title.

Bladdy hell Femi Fehintola, there's a name that takes me back a few years. Here I was thinking he'd retired long ago; shows what I know!
