Fair play to him, he was a really good fighter not so long ago, boxing has been a big part of his life for a long long time. Does anyone know which weight he's coming back at and his aims?

Ryan was only a point down against Canelo at the time of the stoppage.

Canelo then drew with Mayweather (according to one of the judges).

Therefore Ryan Rhodes is 2nd or 3rd best Pound for Pound Fighter in the World.

I for one cannot help but be excited at the prospect of a "new age boxing fan", simply on the grounds that boxing's reaching new demographics. I assume mullenman wears tie-dye, spouts annoying bullshit about homeopathy, crystals & reiki & has a soul-patch.

I wouldn't be surprised. For instance, I doubt he was doing hard rounds with Cotto in the run up to Martinez, there was no mention on Twitter, and it didn't seem like Ryan to be so annoyed with Kugan. Maybe it was to deflect who really is coming back.

Think Ryan's a little deluded (no offense as I love him) that really misses boxing. He fell short both times he fought for a title. It's never gonna get that good again. Noone would dare stick him in with GGG and Quallin beats him for sure
