I'm a big fan of Audley, and am prepared to forgive his delusional rants due to what he's done for the game in this country. I gave up on Audley in the pro ranks an awfully long time ago... Team GB, podium squads, 2012 all have a lot to thank Audley for. A great achievement for the big lad... I also know a team member in the 98 Commenwealths who said he's a really good man.

I would back Chambers to stop Harrison here, probably on accumulation. Seems to me Audley will turn up a shell of a never-was.

everybody stops Harrison just about. Not too big to knock out, but Chambers is quite a short fighter and frankly, his meeting with Baker was a circus show. If he hits him clean he could knock him out, but I expect it will be some horribly extended 10 minutes of something resembling bag-work before the ref steps in. I think any promoter that uses Harrison now isn't worth their salt.

HAS EVERYONE GONE MAD??! Yes Audley has failed at the top level against big punchers to say the least but has that suddenly automatically promoted Eddie Chambers (who has not succeeded at the top level either) into the world class heavyweight fighter category?

Lets not forget this is a guy who went the distance with rossy a guy who Audley harrison KO'd in 2 rounds, Chambers last 3 wins are against:
Carl Baker (10 wins 8 losses)
Moses Matovu (5 wins 43 losses)
Tomas Mrazek (9 wins 47 losses)
And was also beaten by a cruiser weight in 2013
Whoopdee doo!

Audleys last 3 wins are Clause Bertino (15 wins 4 losses), Martin Rogan and Derric Rossy.

I dont see why people are slating harrison but giving such props to chambers who ran through entire fights to an inevitable loss and has beaten complete dross.

This isn't 2 fighters of different classes meeting this is Audley Harrison fighting the level of opposition he should be.

I actually think this is likely to be an awful fight with neither guy really wanting it. Audley is going to tentatively throw out the jab while moving backwards while Chambers outboxes him for large spells and gets off plenty of 'keep busy' work done but wont have the confidence or capability to finish the job. I really like Eddie Chambers and think he's been a great addition to the allegedly team, but I think in the ring, he's shown that he doesn't quite have the confidence to make the most of his skill set. He always looks like he is holding back and more worried about what's coming back than getting his own shots off.

Finn makes a great point. Chambers has a history of losing heart halfway through the fight. It's not unfeasible that Audley leans on him, throws a few left crosses and puts him into his shell.

Could so easily see myself getting swept up in Audleymania for this one.

Chambers has beaten Guinn, Brock, Peter & Dimitrenko.

Chambers used to be world class. Harrison has never been world class.

probably because Eddie is coming across as such a nice guy on allegedly ect
a bit the like the Uk new love for Mallagnaggi when he used to be a bit of a tosser and joke fighter for his lack off power and has got Uk love on the back off his Defeats to Hatton and Khan.

I respect Paulie M's achievements even more as a result of his lack of power.

dont get me wrong i respect him and your right he has balls to take on the fighters he has , i mean in general most people looked down on him as an opponent for the best boxers , i dont mind him on the Mic to be honest , although get awkward when hes bobbling his little head and staring into the camera when someone else is talking

I'm sure Paulie was the guy that was ordered to have an impromptu hair-cut midway through a fight. He looked heartbroken to be losing his locks.... and then to be expected to fight! Wow!

you don't think it's unfeasable that Harrison starts to chuck a few shots? I do. It's not his style.

anyone heard anything more about this audley hasnt announced it but is being vocal on twitter about a comeback however he usually is.

He got a decent deal when he turned pro and also apparantly he's a good gambler in usa pro poker player.

He's given it a go, so stay RETIRED ! health, cash etc.

at least chambers is not a puncher so audley is not as much in danger of getting permanently injured as he was when he fought power punchers like haye or price but still at this point any fight might be one too many for audley.

Chambers is fighting Marcelo Nascimento next, so Audley will have to wait.

Slightly off topic, but for a bit of clarity, someone tweeted Rio Ferdinand a pic they took of an old newspaper back page they discovered when decorating the other day. It was a story about Leeds signing Rio. That was in November 2000, just a handful of months after the Sydney olympics.
