No mate I'm serious maybe a boxing lesson is far fetched in sparring with 16oz gloves and head gear it would take away a lot of ggg power and wats he left with he comes straight on doesn't move his head or keep his hands high enough groves has good skills on the back foot I think he would pick him off...remember I'm jus talking about sparring now

GGG does NOT come straight on and is very effective at cutting off the ring. Something that is missed.

However, i can see what you mean. Double G is a very good boxer, and without light gloves, i can see it being a decent spar

The big gloves and head gear didn't seem to cause him much too trouble when he was racking up his 300 odd amateur wins did they?

It might be entertaining to watch but a boxing lesson is beyond far fetched.

Mate the gloves we use in amature are 10oz. Thrust me I spar nearly every day in 16oz there is a difference and I imagine groves would have 1 of those ugly pro full face head gears on as well I'd say it would be a great spar with George right in it

Don't get me wrong mate either am I

Groves has great speed, good footwork and a good brain for it, he'd be a good spar for anyone especially with power largely taken out of the equation.

Ironically Groves would be a good spar for Froch in preparation of a Golovkin fight...! :)

i hope to see Froch in another big fight , i warmed a bit more to him in build up to the last fight and since watching him on tumble

Although Groves got sparked out , normally fighters are written off but i dont think its done him much career damage and he still has major apeal to boxing fans , i think well see him in with some big names in the future again

It's sparring, it doesn't mean fvck all who drops who, it happens, especially when you're trying out new things and get caught. Could Groves drop GGG, of course he could, a big SMW with a solid punch, yes. Does it mean anything, no. Spar enough rounds and you'll get caught often enough, as long as you've learned from the mistake it has served its purpose.
