Re: Fury fight off

Scared of getting sparked for peanuts.
I don't disagree, he should keep his trap shut and he'd have less problems and get more respect. I remember him mouthing off about Haye getting cut in sparring and being a pussy for pulling out of their fight. Then just days before his next fight Fury himself got cut in sparring and pretty much had to go through with the fight, with an unhealed wound, to stop himself looking like an arse.Boxerbeetle123 wrote:Fair point to an extent, but Fury's made a rod for his own back here. But Fvck all of that I suppose right? Let's force him in the ring whilst his head isn't right to make sure those who bought tickets get value for money.gp. wrote:Sorry, this is bollocks. I'd consider my uncle dying a poor excuse for not turning up for work one day. Yes I know they might be a close family; I don't care. This is just bullshit. When you expect other people who have no connection with you and frankly don't give a eff about your problems and your life to put money on the table and change their plans to watch you for your living, you can't do this.
I'm not personally going to criticise Fuy as I don't know the full circumstances (and I don't have a ticket to the fight!), but he's got to expect a lot a criticism considering everything he's said in the past.
Considering everything fury has said on pull outs being the ultimate fighting man you thought he would have been like thisBigRed wrote:i thought with fury being so proud of being a fighting man from a long line of fighting people etc that he would rather go fight for his uncle and make his uncle proud if you know what i mean! i thought saving face was a big thing with travellers, surely his uncle would rather he went out and fought and lost than looked like a "shithouse" as fury himself would say!
True about the playing but fighters fight at below par all the time most heavies for example are rarely fully fit by virtue of the weight they carry.chad wrote:You play at others sports, you don't play at boxing. It maybe explains why so many fights get called off. If your not 100% going into the ring, it could cost you your life.rm1 wrote:It would be interesting to see how often matches get cancelled in other solo sports like Tennis as a comparison to boxing which seems to suffer from cancellations a ridiculous amount these days.
If his head's not right then maybe he shouldn't fight. but if something like this is going to make his head not right, then he can't expect people to spend their money and time arranging to watch him.chad wrote:But I bet your job isn't fighting someone for 30 minutes where a lack of focus or concentration could lead to you being knocked unconscious, permanently damaged or worse. I have as much compassion for them as they would have for me if I called them and asked for a refund on my ticket because my auntie was crying. That is, none.stevieb_8006 wrote:if it was any other fighter he'd be getting waves of sympathy. Luke Campbell never got any poo for taking a break when his dad was ill. Hughies apparently in a really bad way, and tysons priorities may well be to support his distressed family, hardly a crime.
If it was any1 else it would be "he shouldn't be anywhere near a ring...etc". Imagine if he turned up with his head in a mess and got put in a coma cos he's not switched on? How would you all feel about that? I for one would rather show a bit of compassion to the family, there could be old folk and children in floods of tears, boxing is only a sport at the end of the day.
People really need to understand that he talks big to SELL FIGHTS. It really is as simple as that.
your a bit of a souless person then. Have you thought that maybe PETER doesn't fancy it, what with potentially losing a brother at any minute. When the time comes for you to have a seriously ill close family member, think about this.gp. wrote:I have as much compassion for them as they would have for me if I called them and asked for a refund on my ticket because my auntie was crying. I understand Fury pulling out if he has a family member very ill, he must know the situation however, if this uncle is not gravely ill to the extent of a family passing I would get the fight on and 'Do it' for my uncle and the rest of the UK watching.CiganoBoxer wrote:Close family the Furys , an by all account from what i am told his uncle i gravely ill, when poo like that is going on with so much upset there is more to life than just a boxing match , but going by some of the idiotic comments above that must be just the way us gypsies are .
Well said.stevieb_8006 wrote:if it was any other fighter he'd be getting waves of sympathy. Luke Campbell never got any poo for taking a break when his dad was ill. Hughies apparently in a really bad way, and tysons priorities may well be to support his distressed family, hardly a crime.

R u a teenager? You are aware that Tyson Fury isn't actually a promoter?
This. Risk didn't meet reward. Considering a lack of motivation fighting for crap $ and a non-stiff opponent in front of him they came to the conclusion this wasn't worth the risk. Fury could've easily lost this fight. And for what? No money.tony1234 wrote:Said in the Mirror he was fighting Ustinov for 10% of the purse he was getting for Chisora, I wonder if that had anything to do with his frame of mind ?
Diddy you do love a conspiracy do you mate, are you sure you even like boxing as you seem to have no respect for fighters and are quick to question their pull outs without any proof, that just seems to be the first place you go to without checking facts, within minutes of Chisora withdrawing you claimed he bottled itdiddy wrote:This.
