So fvcking obvious, innit? I'd rather a bunch of--I dunno, for instance--just under fandabbydozy fellas who were willing to fight each other all the time, repeatedly, without much bullshit than have a bunch of über-talents who fvcked about & avoided each other for years.

Your forgetting the rule of boxing forums. If a fighter isn't in HBO/Showtime they don't exist!

yeah, but why type that? if something is too damn obvious, than only somebody stupid would type it down, like "a apple is a fruit"

sure not every single out of 1000 top amateurs becomes a top pro, that obvious, but there is a very high percentage that when you are a top amateur you become a top pro.

but that answer of yours is nothing new to me, people out here always like to arrange the things how they straight need
Well I disagree it's a "very high percentage" of top amateurs become top pros then too. Go look @ all the Olympic Gold medalists & you'll see a high failure rate in becoming top pros.

Light heavyweight has two or three really good guys at the top, but the division lacks depth after you get past the top tier. Welterweight probably has my vote right now, though I confess that I don't really follow the divisions that fall below Feather.

2004- out of the 5 gold medalist that went pro 4 became world champions and 1 has faught for a world title all become top pros one has struggled due to indiscipline

2000- 4 gold medalist turned pro , 2 became world champions the other 2 faught for world titles

1996- 4 gold medalist that went pro all became world champions

1992-4 gold medalist turned pro , 2 became world champions the other to challenges for world titles and were highly ranked

1988- 7 turned pro 5 became world champions, one faught for a world title multiple times and was highly ranked and the other dead young. Also us to boycotts this was a very weak games

So the success rate is very high, also if you had better knowledge of amatuer boxing you will know that the Olympic gold medalist isn't always the best in the divison, the world championships are harder to win
