Regarding the current stuff being debated here, it is important to bear in mind we are talking about a promoter who has sued people on dozens of occasions, because he hasn't liked what they have said or written about him. If he has actually done it dozens of times, it is reasonable to presume he's threatened legal action hundreds of times. Again, we are talking about dragging people into court because they said or wrote something he did not like. For somebody who is so quick to put the boot in, and who can be so ruthless, I can't have a massive amount of sympathy when it turns out he has not been paying fighters as per the agreements he has entered into with them. I can completely understand how, operating that TV channel, each month another windfall comes into the coffers via the subscriptions - which in turn may mean wages and purses are paid on a set date each month. But my point is, he sues at the drop of a hat and can be ruthless, so I will not get the violin out for him as this thread plays out. In my book he owes me £12 for the August BN total lack of action but its ok I won't sue him

Firstly working for your dad and expecting not to be paid is a completely different situation to the one we are atlking about. U actually expected not to be paid as u have said.
And answer me this if u walked in and seen a man raping your daughter, and started screaming at the police he had just raped your daughter would u expect the police and everyone to say that man is innocent till proven guilty?????? No u wouldn't so that saying is a load of 5hit! Everyone knows what he has done and his past record with fighters not to mention putting his companies into liquidation to get out of paying people so don't come on here with your stupid sayings

Paul speak is a useless turd Smug bastid who thinks he's the bollocks as he's ex police. He would be no good for anybody apparent from maybe leeching and selling some cheap merchandise as he did for Hatton back in the day.
I didn't even realise he was Quiggs manager..would have assumed he would have been ditched when Scott left Ricky for fast car.

Its people like you who support what hes doing and say innocent until proven guilty that encourage him to keep not paying fighters
So Quigg's going to fight for a world title then, if it isn't Frampton, who will it be? They wouldn't let him anywhere near Rigo, so his only other option is to go off to the US to fight Santa Cruz and I don't get the feeling they fancy fighting him either.
Curtis was paid, but incredibly late, which isn't right but there's a difference between that and not at all. Like I said, not fighters that are going through legal proceeding, as the non payment is obviously disputed, so it's for the court to decide.
I did some work a couple of weeks ago actually, I haven't been paid yet and I'm not expecting to be for at least another 2 weeks, this was explained to me at the time, don't have a problem with it at all. I also did some work for my Dad around the same time, not expecting to be paid at all for that because he can't afford to, again I was told that before I started. So no I wouldn't be going mental after a week without pay.
Innocent until proven guilty is one of the most basic requirements of any fair legal system, surely of all people a scouser would be in favour of that
Did your work a couple of weeks back involve getting punched repeatedly in the face and/or a 6 - 8 week training camp to get you in the condition needed to complete that job?
