Can't fully remember his name but baby face Garcia. Think he was something like 30-2 at 20 but lost to
Troy browning and I never heard of him again.

In the 80's I though Tommy Ayers of Cincinnati was a great champ in the making.

Thinking about it, when I was younger I really thought Julio Cesar Borboa was gonna be a long-time champ.

This is a good site to remind you how tough the pro game can be. I thought many of these fighters on this list would go onto be great-and many had disappointing pro careers

It is interesting to put the names in the boxrec search engine, you can find out that the US Olympic heavyweight rep in 1936 Arthur Oliver made his pro debut against the 40 bout veteran Buddy Baer who was 36-3 at the time-unsurprisingly KO'd. So not surprising he didnt fulfill his potential.
