Johnson could fight in the Cruiserweight division at least for a good chunk of his career. But why bother? He would be great at heavyweight, where there always more $ and fame.

In most eras, Burns probably would have been mostly a light heavy. (There wasn't even a super middle division until the 1980s)
From the mid-1980s to now, he probably would have started as a middleweight, then moved on to super middle, and then to light heavyweight.
In a weak era, he would probably go for the $ against the heavyweights.

The guy was a very talented fighter and an overachiever.
