Yep, but Catterall is throwing the left over the top of it. Stalker is just flicking his jab and not taking the back hand over. At the moment Caterasll low right is a bit irrelevant as Stalker isnt taking advantage.

Stalker's shoulder is a lot lower though and his body's more open than Catterall who's very side on, so his only defence to the left hand is his reflexes.

I think Stalker's still got enough ambition to come back into this. He's the one with everything to lose at 30 in only his tenth fight.

Feel sorry for Stalker a bit. He probably cant come back from this because of his late pro start and on top of that he comes across as really nice fella. Great showing from Catterall though.

First knockdown Stalker only touched down and Catterall carried on punching until the ref stepped in with the count, which is fair enough, but the second Stalker was sat on his arse against the ropes and Catterall took another swing at him, which was a bit out of the order.

Shame for Stalker. Probably stayed in the amateurs too long and peaked there.

Feel sorry for Stalker, he really wanted to continue, but well done to Catterall. The world's his one-paced oyster.

Hopefully a few current amateurs will learn from this and not make the same mistake, Stalker pissed about waiting for the Olympics and has paid for it in his professional career. If you're ready to turn pro, do it.

Well he only started boxing when he was 19 so was some achievement to become and Olympian with no junior experience and at a deep weight devision. Wasn't sure if his style would suit the pros as he was just so awkward as an am. But he's out in a brave showing tonight and carterall looks like he could be going places.

Don't agree. His style and success was based in the amateur system. He should've stayes there.

Fair comment esp about Stalker. I think Catterall needs to use the time that's on his side wisely if he's going anywhere.

It could be argued that he would never have had the power required to be a top pro whatever age he turned over.

Also, boxing full time all over the world with free accommodation, training and medical and nutrition support whilst getting 30 grand a year tax free plus whatever sponsorship you might get makes the turn pro or go fo the Olympics decision much more difficult than it was before Lottery funding.
