It's a good fight and I'm intrigued to see just how good both guys are, at least how good they are now.
Which one is Calzaghe & which one is Lacy?

just a gym/sparring rumour, but i've heard Eubank really isn't at all heavy handed.
He obviously loads up and is able to get full torque and rotation on his shots when he's fighting guys there to be hit, but doubt BJS will allow him to set his feet and unload like that.
Just thrown that out there before bed, for no real reason - i'm another one who's obviously bought into this fight hype if it's still on my mind - bring on the 29th

FW just tweeted the confirmation. Still has strong ties to the good old WBO then...
Butler-Conlan approved as final eliminator too, request has gone in for Ormond-Flanagan to be given the same status.

On paper this shouldn't even be close as Eubank hasn't fought anyone of note. He has been fighting guys who get short notice and are barley even British standard.
That said he has looked great in all his fights and he can only beat what is put in front of him.
IMO Saunders will get him out of there in the first 6, I think he wont put him to sleep i believe the ref will stop it after Eubank is taking a hiding.
Its a great fight regardless of the lack of experience of Eubank and to be honest im very surprised it is still going ahead.

Why do you think he's chinny?
Because he's a poor bread fool

Have Saunder's hands healed? Didn't he have all sorts of problems that affected his power punching? I imagine he'll need a dig to keep Eubank off him.

There has been problems throughout his career and the gap between the Ryder and Blandamura fights was mostly down to hand problems, think there's been a couple of operations, but in his last fight he took Blandamura out with one punch so hopefully it's all sorted now.

what makes u think that ?
In his fights against paid punching bags Eubank has never looked strong nor looked have any kind of work rate to me ...just look a little un orthodox with fast hands :??

Exactly how I see it. Surprised so many people are picking Eubank, he's operated on such a low level compared to BJS.

I think Saunders will win on points by 3 or 4 rounds. Eubank won't get the time and space to operate in and will be outworked.

As long as Saunders gets his head clear and focussed come fight night, he is very skilled and even if Eubank's power is a genuine danger, BJS can (and will IMO) adapt and box a safety first fight and still win on points.

All the videos I see of Jr just look like a guy who throws with never once thinking about what's coming back. Down to fighting taxi drivers and sparring with full head gear.
In my opinion(and it's pretty basic tbh) he's in for a hard night chasing shadows. BJS will dance in and out before Jr can set his flat footed combinations.
As has been said, I see no logic behind people backing Jr to win. He may well win, but I can't see how anybody can be confident of it.
Bring it on, can't wait!

had this on my mind over the weekend and I'm changing my pick - I don't think saunders is a front rank fighter and I now think eubank will find him out. on paper it should be BJS but eubank will have the greater desire to win. a shock win.

Its a cracking fight - whilst Eubank Jnr has fought not an amazing resume of boxers (although I think its a bit harsh calling Bradley Pryce a taxi driver - after all he fought Saunders around the same time) what he is clearly is a top prospect with the potential to go far.
BJS is also a top prospect, did John Ryder show him for the level he is or can he go further. I really really applaud this match up. For me, both look to be world class prospects and hopefully, no matter what happens when they fight, we see it again with a big title on the line.
I bit of a blind guess but I am going for Eubank, mainly because I think John Ryder showed that BJS can be beaten. Eubank Jnr COULD be someone a bit special.... we just don't know. At the same time it would surprise me if BJS outclasses an exposed Eubank ala Jon Jo Irwin vs Esham Pickering all those years ago..... we just don't know enough about Eubank to be confident with our predictions EITHER WAY.
