Everyone was herded around like animals in a big crappy atmosphere-less cattle shed, you couldn't see anything, loads of people missed their train home (including me) and then what do you do? Walk for a few miles in the fog into Canning Town (lovely area) and just jump on any bus in the hope it'll take you somewhere where thousands of other people aren't trying to get a cab at the same time.

It was awful.

Massive shame about the Excel but it's been said for many years that it's a terrible venue for boxing. At the olympics when Joshua won his medal it was fine and despite not having a great seat, I had a great view. But I guess the crowd were a lot less in number and far more tame than this bill.

I didn't love it but I didn't hate it either. Quite enjoyed how close it was and how Gavin had to work his way round Skeet's long jab. Genuinely didn't know which was it was going to go at the end.

A bottle of beer contains several mouthfuls of liquid basically. Not sure that making someone chug down a few mouthfuls of beer in one go rather than taking another ten mins or so to quaff it in their own good time would cause mass drunkenness ?

No excuse for a lack of toilets at the site. I'm not sure it's right that promoters should cater for thousands of fans on the piss and skew every decision and procedure in a way that enables them to enjoy a piss up in the arena with maximum consideration for their needs, eg allow alcohol consumption everywhere and put toilets at ringside so fans aren't inconvenienced.

He needs to take a look at the UFC, who run shows on FOX, to see how to structure his cards.
Dividing his show into a Main Card (4 fights), UnderCard (4 fights) and Prelims would help, with consistent start times for each portion of the card so you know without checking the clock that the Main Card starts at 8pm, the Main Event starts at 10pm etc. It makes simpler watching for the casual fan and also avoids these clogged up, higgldy piggldy cards.

Boxing has a lot to learn off UFC.
