Fair enough, I'll hold my hands up at that one, could have sworn I heard it though, probably imaging things.

The board thrive on safety of fighters so they would be breaking there own policy regarding weight safety, the boy has never made the weight safety in his puff and in his last fight he struggled

It's all a joke Biased Refs.. Biased judges.. board going where most of the money is.. As the say goes "Money Talks".. Everyone excuses it by saying its politics. Or the home fighter deserves the decision in a close contest or the champion deserves the decision.. It's all shit.. It's the same here. I have to feel sorry on Troy on one hand but this is boxing. Evans was seriously weight drained against Clark without the Ref helping him he could of got seriously hurt in that last fight. I think if he gets to 9 stone 4lbs and He will get hurt. But money is there for that fight so will happen. Fighters safety won't even come into it.. I'm a big Sykes fan but after the Kays fight the board should of stepped in to both fighters and said they were struggling to make weight and Advice them not to fight at that weight.. That's the boards job to look after the fighters well being.. Seems to me like a company in it for profit only.. This is why people get hurt. I hope Evans doesn't fight at 9 stone 4lbs and fights get scored fairly but hey a guy can dream

I don't need to answer ridiculous, petty questions like that.

Murray's performance against Walsh was worth more than James' entire career. Murray is a more worthy British title challenger than James.

Horse, you my friend ar either just looking for a argument, know nothing about boxing, or are just being a cun t ?

How the FUK do you work that comment of yours out ?
Who the FUK has Murray fought other than Walsh for you to make that comment ?
Have you ever watched Troy fight ?

I haven't commented on this thread til now has we've been extremely angry and feel massively let down by the board, and didn't want to write something that would be regretted, but thought I would reply to this comment above has it is pure Horse Shi t, excuse the pun.

Troy only proper loss was a close, competitive fight against Terry Flannigan, who Imo is a lot better than Walsh and would beat him handily IMO, and any other S/F or L/W or even L/W/W in the country.
Troy struggled for the 1st 4 rounds against Flannigan to judge his speed & movement, and the shear size of Flannigan, who is massive, Troy is a small S/F, but from that point on the fight was very competitive and Troy had Flannigan pinned on the ropes for nearly the whole of the 7th round and was unlucky for the ref to not jump in, has it worked out, them early rounds he gave away were vital in the result has that's the rounds that cost him the fight, we had Troy losing 97-93 like 1 of the judges, Troy gave Terry his toughest fight to date, Fact, Troy for some reason is very underrated, people don't realise how good he actually is, he has good footwork, punches very hard with both hands, can box & is extremely granite tough, Troy did a lot better against Flannigan than Murray did against Walsh.

On top of that Troy is 2X unbeaten area champion, and fought 2X eliminators made by the board against 2 top 10 ranked fighters with a combined record of something like 23 wins 1 loss & 2 draws, the 1 loss was Males close points loss to Josh Warrington, the British, commonwealth & European champion, & the 2 draws were Clarks against Walsh & Hughes both away from home, were he was unlucky not to get the nod, plus Troy has fought more lads with winning records, we've had no big promoter behind us or big ticket sales, it's been done the hard way over 6 long years, others have been given chances while we haven't, so I'll ask you again, how does Murray warrant a British title fight more than Troy ?

Thank you everyone else who has commented positive messages and sent us messages of support, it's greatly appreciated.

Because he is a better fighter and his loss against Walsh is better than any of James' wins.

Who said he is a better fighter ? You ?

Have you watched Troy fight ? I think you would be shocked like many others have been that have underestimated the kid.

You didn't answer non of my previous questions, yet you have slagged Maley1984 for what you called his ridiculous comments, but they are comments that he has backed up with facts. Yet your comment really is ridicolous.

So I'll ask you again, What has murray done ? He hasn't fought no other top 10 ranked lads to prove that comment of yours, nor even won a Area title.

How is his loss to Walsh better than any of Troys fights ?

That comment with no back up facts other than your stupid reply leads me to believe you are either a fan of Murray, or you are very close to Murray (s) or you are in fact Joe, and if that's the case then I can forgive your biased ignorance, but if you are non and just commenting with your Shi t that your commenting with for the sake of it then you clearly are a little retarded to make such a ridiculous statement, and either trolling to look for a argument or just genuinely know fuk all about boxing ?

It's my opinion.

I'm not sure why some of you chaps can't accept that I rate Murray higher for the reasons that I have stated.

This discussion is not really going anywhere. I rate Murray higher and others don't, there's not much more to discuss.

Your opinion ? Well that's fine, everyone is entitled to there opinion.
IMO Murray is a very talented fighter, and he's been very unlucky with the inactivity & politics that's kept him out. But does he deserve to walk straight into a final eliminator ? NO, they could of gave lots of other fighters a chance before Murray, like Buckland, Sykes (even though he's just lost title) or made Murray Vs Kays, then the winner face Troy if they wanted to force Troy to fight unlimited Eliminators.

But the Shi t comment you wrote, "Murray loss to Walsh is better than anything Troy has done in his career" is a fuc king joke, it really is.

Troy has worked his boll ocks off the last 6 years, sacrificed so much, been let down so many times but still has done everything asked of him, and still he's getting fuked over

If that's the best you had to argue your case with that Murray deserves a British title before Troy then really you shouldn't engage in talking boxing no more, has that sounds ridiculous

Murray's performance against Walsh is better than beating Male or Clark. This is essentially a fact.

Walsh is on a much higher level than Male or Clark. My opinion is perfectly reasonable.

I get what you're saying, James beating Male and Clark was a better achievement than losing to Walsh IMO, winning is always better than losing, but Murray's performance against Walsh could be considered a better performance at a higher level than Troy against Male and Clark.

I strongly disagree.

Is Mauricio Herrera's loss to Danny Garcia a lesser achievement than his win against Brian Gordon? It's better to beat a nobody than controversially lose to the best?

Troy is better than I expected. Like Dean has said he gave Terry Flannagan his hardest fight. Terry is the real deal. You are disrespecting Ronnie Clark horse on what 2 loses to Troy and Craig Evans. The Troy fight was very close in my opinion could of gone either way. Hence the split decision. The Evans fight is a complete joke. The ref should of wore a mask. I can accept the Troy loss as the fight was close. Ronnie's other fights against good british level fighters in Maxi Hughes, Ryan Walsh and Craig Evans he was very very unlucky in the 3 of them.. So how does Murray fighting 1 fighter in Liam Walsh compare to the list Ronnie has thought and lost out or drawn away from home?? Murray doesn't deserve this shot. He has been very inactive. I actually had him beating Walsh on the night by 1 round and he is a very good fighter. What I have found a harsh lesson in boxing is that the best fighters won't become champion it's the ones with the big promoters. It's all about money.

I think Troy deserves his shot. He stuck to a game plan against Ronnie and threw Ronnie off his game. He stoped Male and apart from a loss in prizefighter and a good loss against Flannagan he has a decent record better than Murrays. Evans will be next British Champion at Super Feather.. He is lined up for that Walsh will vacate and he will fight someone who hasn't even fought an eliminator.. It's politics not sport.. Good luck to Troy against Murray.. I think it's a very interesting fight and although the above is my opinion im afraid I think Murray will sneak this, if he can make the weight looked big last time I saw him..

Ok, well if your sticking to that bullsh it reason you clown then Troys loss to Flannigan is better than Murrays loss to Walsh, and Flannigan is a much better fighter than Walsh, so Troy is better than Murray.

Your opinion on something which can't be measured is essentially a fact? You're not making sense one bit in this thread. For the record, that is an opinion.

Have you ever took the guy serious? He's clearly up his own arse, has no clue and what he knows about small hall boxing is a 3 minute montage on ringside, if ronnie we're to fight murray in no way would
It be about levels, ronnie would take that no problems, troy deserves his shot, and only 1

First bold section - If Hughes, Walsh and Evans are British/Domestic level, then Liam Walsh is somewhere between European and World level. Liam Walsh is levels above those three, Murray going close with him is easily comparable with Ronnie having close fights with Hughes, R Walsh and Evans.

Second bold section - The best fighters win titles, the fighters with big promoters get more opportunities, but that isn't a block to anyone who isn't with a big promoter winning a title. Got to remember that most of the best fighters are with the big promoters, that's why they get signed by them. Plenty of fighters have won the British title in recent years without the backing of a big promoter.

Third bold section - Unless Frank knows some dirty secrets about people at the board, Evans won't get a shot at a vacant title. If the title were to be vacated, Troy would be first in line to fight for it seeing as he's won two eliminators, no one else has won an eliminator, so it's then up to the board who fights him, Hughes and Ward will be up there, Sykes, Buckland if he drops back down.

I might be wrong but I think Evans will fight next for that British title.. Warren does what he wants and the board go along with it.. He may fight Troy time will tell. I think he will fight the winner of Troy v Joe for the vacant belt.. Hughes and Ward won't get near it as Matchroom fighters.

Ask yourself a question are they really the best fighters?? Look at John Simpson Robbed so many times. Most agree he beat Smith twice and Mathews. His career would look so much different right now if he was with a big promoter.. I believe if the 2 draws and 2 defeats Ronnie had were at home he would of got the nod in them all. I hope Troy beats Joe and goes on to win the British title would be good to see that but they will throw a spanner in the works. Same thing happened with Sykes. After Ronnie fighting Troy and Craig I can guarantee that Evans will never give Ronnie a rematch. So I'm hoping Troy gets the title and Troys team give Ronnie a fight after the last close one..

If Evans fights for it, it will be as Walsh's voluntary defence IMO, I can't see the board giving him a vacant title fight. Hughes and Ward are in with a shout because they fought an eliminator, Troy will be in one corner, someone else will be put up to fight him, then either they come to an agreement or it goes to purse bids, Eddie carries just as much influence with the board as Frank.

Some aren't, but it's rare you see a top fighter that isn't with a big promoter, or self promoted, there's only Lee Haskins I can really think of that isn't. Where I don't think there's much difference is the likes of Craig Evans and Ronnie, a little below title level, Craig was lucky enough to turn pro after a decent amateur career, at a time when Frank was pushing Cleverly towards a world title and Enzo was fighting regularly at a good level and he can sell a good number of tickets. Ronnie turned pro after a short amateur career, unknown to most in boxing and he's had to come through the small halls, but there isn't much between them. Above that level though, I think the best fighters are with the big promoters, how many British/Commonwealth champions do you see that aren't? Plenty have got to that level without a big promoter, but once they do, they usually get signed by one. I have little doubt that if Troy were to win the British title, offers would come in from big promoters to defend the title against their fighters and possibly contract offers too.

John Simpson's an extreme example, because he's willing to fight anyone, anywhere, it's held him back in a way, ended up on the wrong end of a lot of close decisions, only Morris, Selby, Coyle and Murray have clearly beat him, obviously not being with a big promoter hasn't helped him, maybe a few more of those fights would have been at home, but he's so willing to go on the road it was always likely to happen.

Absolute disgrace! Troy has been well and truely stitched up, no wonder scorecards were rigged v ronnie clark for evans also, go to board and claim a comprehensive win over clark, boxing really does make me sick, ronnie posted a video of 10th round hits evans with a body shot and referee is giving him time to recover , 20 seconds after shot has landed also he's on the canvas, unreal and if Im troy I'd be taking a different route as the old story regarding FW helping the board when cash strapped is clear for all to see, with them puppets on a string!!
