Seriously. First it was 10 now it's 30 million for basically doing nothing. Paying someone that amount of money to just go away. Does not make sense.

If one wants the fight (which all of you seem to continue crying that you want) it does, Arum has been the primary obstacle to this fight as told by Ariza and the folks at CBS which is why they pulled their top Exec to talk to Bob one on one and negotiate the deal for the fight by making Arum the offer to step aside. Floyd isn't paying Arum, CBS is.

He won't be getting half of Manny's take but he will still get his standard 27% from Manny because Pacquiao isn't a Free Agent and is still under contract to Top Rank. Irregardless if Top Rank is out of the promotion for this bout Arum is still legally entitled to his 27% which when you add that together with the money he is getting from CBS to step aside it will be as much as Manny's, if not more.

Based on what? Floyd's recent numbers are a clear indication that he is much more of a draw. If you have something that proves differently other than your own opinion, please enlighten me.

Pacquiao is a much smaller guy than Mayweather? Other than a couple of inches in height and reach, Pac is bigger in every other category on the tale of the tape. Height does not automatically equate to being a bigger guy.

As for the rest of your statement, it just shows how much you hate Mayweather. His mark on boxing?

You said it yourself, so if this fight doesn't happen it's due to Pacquiao refusing to fight under any other card other than a TR card? So it has to be on HBO and it can't have multiple promotional companies involved?

And last I knew the drawing power came from the fighters, not the promoter. So in your eyes, because Arum is the richest promoter in boxing he should be the one most involved even when considering the 5 highest grossing fights in the past 10 years didn't even involve Arum. Also the only thing they want Arum to do is step aside for the negotiatons and let DuBueof and Koncz handle Mannys negotiations, TR will still have their part in the PPV, Arum just won't be part of the negotiations.

The numbers say otherwise, so stop being a jackass and speak with facts. Secondly Floyd isn't that much bigger than Manny, Floyd has the advantage in height and reach, yet Pacquiao has a bigger head, bigger hands, bigger forearms and bigger thighs and calves.

Also the entertaining aspect is also a opinion, not a fact. Tyson vs Lewis was a megafight which was crossover Showtime/HBO. At this stage, only Mayweather has stated publicly he "calls the shots, it has to be on Showtime". another excuse to most people. In the question splitting the purse, it's drawing power. If this fight was like any other fight where the promoter, Tv stations, organisers, sponsors, or rich saudi's put out a standard fight "purse" to be split between the fighters (where the idea is they get gaurenteed pay cheque and the promoters/organisers scoop the revenues) then yes, you have the argument of drawing power, who the A-side is and who gets the bigger chunk of purse being put forward.

In this instance though, Mayweather doesn't seem interested in a purse. He ran a Friday night show of Lara vs Smith which stunk the joint out and now he think's he's a big shot promoter on Arum's level So he's not making this about Fighter v Fighter for the lions share of a purse, he's making this about Promoter vs Promoter, for the running of the entire show, from venue to ticket pricing, to PPV structure, to sponsorship, etc.... Mayweather Promotions vs Top Rank Promotions. The guy is deluded, he's out of his depth on the business side of things, but his pride won't allow him to let Arum promote the fight and collect his Paycheque via TR, even if it's double what Manny gets (i don't think he cares much about what Manny gets anyway).

Anyone who seriously thinks Arum tells Pacquiao, "On go son, go fight on Showtime under Mayweather Promotions for whatever they offer you, i'll put our contract on ice for the time being and explain it to HBO" is smoking some strong stuff.

The fight falls through, Floyd has no real intentions of allowing Top Rank being the main banner under which this card is run, instead he sells a matchup with Khan to CBS and it follows the same Floyd-Showtime-Goldenboy blueprint as the Maidana & Canelo fights.

There are so many variables when making a fight, some people seem to think it is just down to one boxer making a challenge, and the other one simply saying yes to it. As much as Pacquiao Vs Mayweather would be awesome, there are just too many things that stand in the way. One is Arum, the second is money, the third is TV, and the final is probably the blood testing.

If these two really wanted to solidify their GOAT status, then they wouldn't let that stand in the way. There is too much on the line, and it will be too much for the fight to handle.

So you're basically saying that Arum is greedy as hell and even at 83 he's still vying for more wealth, power and notoriety ... sounds like a scumbag to me.

Also, Arum isn't the A-side because all of Manny's realistic opponent choices won't do 300K buys.
