Porter whitewashed Alexander and is a much better win for Brook than Khan's against Alexander.

Khan's overall record is much better than Brook's, but Brook's win against Porter is way better than anything that Khan has done in the last 3 years.

I wouldn't be surprised if Khan could beat Porter much more clearly than Brook did, or even beat Brook comfortably next year. He has to actually do it though, his current ranking can't be based on what he did 4 or 5 years ago.
Good post though I would fancy Porters chances of stopping Khan we will never find out though.

Yes, it does.
brian13 wrote:Yet, you have Paul Smith low on the rankings despite him getting robbed in Germany. Why isn't he in the top 10 based on your logic then.
Because that is not the consensus opinion and it was a close fight.

It wasn't a robbery, I just thought Smith deserved to nick it.
A robbery in Germany is Sven Ottke v Robin Reid.

Some were surprised Brook got the decision against Porter.

But "he beat him and he beat the other guy" seldom tells the full story

It was the nature of the dominance of Alexander that impressed me, no one has done that to Devon. Not Bradley, Porter, maidana, matthyssee, Witter. The guys been in with some top class opposition and Khan done him, absolutely done him. that happened a couple of weeks ago and that's what I'm basing my decision on.
Porter whitewashed Alexander as well. Khan wasn't really any more impressive against Alexander than Porter was.

Both Bradley and Porter basically roughed Alexander up and made things uncomfortable at a pace Devon didnt like whereas Khan gave him a boxing lesson

All deserved wins over Alexander but no doubt Amir's was the most impressive

Bradleys was the most impressive for me, nobody had done it before and it was seen as 2 of the top 3 guys in the division and almos certainties to be P4P stars later down the line.

Porters was unexpected, people knew he was decent but i dnt think anybody truly thought he could do that to a world level guy.

I remember looking forward to Bradley-Alexander fight,it was the first big fight of the year, and for the first time in a while you had to unbeaten world champions from America in a unification bout

It ended up being awful

Both won pretty much every round.

Beating Porter means a lot more than beating Alexander.

I'm talking about who performed best against Alexander, for me Khan's was the most complete performance,if i was a trainer and i had the 3 men who beat Devon, then Amir's showing would get the biggest thumbs up

I'm not slating Bradley or Porters wins, they were great too but if i was a trainer,Khan's showing would give me most pride stylistically

Porter is better than Alexander. Brook should be above Khan.

you have to beat the champion and he did not win seven rounds on anybodies card

Brook should be above Khan

Amir beat Alexander, Collazo,Judah,maidanna,Malinaggi,kotelnik, Barrera,Diaz
Brook beat around two world champs ( I like Brook but I think Amir should be ahead of him),

Also Del boy is not a world class heavyweight, just a gatekeeper, I also think he would not sell a fight out in his back garden anymore either

brook should be above Khan, but Amir should be ahead of brook?
Brook beat around 2 world champions? well if you reckon 1 is around about 2, then you're not far off i suppose.

This isn't an all time ranking, Brook has a better recent record. Khan needs to fight for a world title again.

Chisora's popularity doesn't matter.

Chisora is still a top 15 world ranked heavyweight and he's still in my top 10.

That's what these rankings get put up for, so we can all argue over them

Horse would have given up years ago if we all came on and said
Aye, that's pretty much how I had it
and
Brook above Khan? I can understand why you would see it like that

Kid Galahad should be higher than Paul Smith. Smith beaten every time he stepped up.

Galahad has never fought anyone worth a damn.

He's boring. He doesn't deserve a high ranking.

Trained and managed by an Irishman though. :TU:

Lee is though - you should have stuck to your guns on that one Horse, born in London and based in London - how Irish is he according to you?

He did represent Ireland as an amateur, so I'd rather not wind up the Irish posters by insisting that he's British.
