Kudriash is struggling here with Meroros movement and holding. 1-1.

Mostly his holding...

Literal hugging rather than holding. First round with any real action.

I don't think he is struggling, just waiting for Meroro to lose his mobility... He is hitting Meroro with straight rights at will. Now that Meroro stopped closing the distance quickly, he'll be bale to work and let his hands go

The few shots he's landed have all wobbled Morero. He's just struggling with Morero's excessive holding. Should be a point deduction if it continues this round.

Beautiful body shot.
Overall, Morero made the fight ugly and dirty. Dmitry's movement is not the best, but the holding was far more of a factor.
Good win, and I'm still impressed. He'll be a top guy soon.

The key was to start jabbing to keep his opponent from closing the distance and grabbing.

Kudryashov is such a one dimensional train coming at you. But then again, practically everyone is a one dimensional train in the Cruiserweight division, which should make for some exciting fights if the champions would fight each other.

Meroro KOed, counted out.
This experience with an awkward, slippery, crafty, elusive opponent will be good for Kudryashov.
Meroro had never been stopped before.

Not one of his better performances but Meroro was holding constantly and not willing to engage much. There aren't many standout boxers near the top of the division (Drozd may be the best) so I'm not sure who the one to beat him is.

cruiserweight
Dmitry Kudryashov 17(17)-0-0
vs
Vikapita Meroro 28(14)-4-0
Kudryashov won by KO
Meroro down twice in the last round
Don't judge Kudry on that performance because he almost never needed to let his hands go...

Cruiserweight is imo the most underated division and has been for a few years. Any matchups in the top20 would be great. Lots of talent and parity

Janik was seen as the next big thing at cruiser in Poland at soem point (after Wlod of course)... But they matched him aggressively in a local clash vs Masternack and Masternack emerged on top. I never felt Janik recuperated mentally from that loss... not the same fighter...

I expect Drozd to eventually catch Janik flush on the side of the head, take his legs away and flurry him to a TKO win.
