Re: Can Froch beat Ward in England ?

Its irrelevant really but does anyone know why Ward was the only boxer in Super 6 who didn't have to fight away from home?
30% Brits, what the hell do you expect?stevedoc wrote:I can't believe nearly 30℅ think froch would win , Carl has looked bad in his last to fights
As a Brit I'd say we are much more neutral than septic tanksdiddy wrote:30% Brits, what the hell do you expect?stevedoc wrote:I can't believe nearly 30℅ think froch would win , Carl has looked bad in his last to fights
Dafuq!? Groves 1 yeah. But Groves 2 he boxed carefully, was never in trouble and we all know what happened in round 8. Hardly a bad performance!stevedoc wrote:I can't believe nearly 30℅ think froch would win , Carl has looked bad in his last to fights
I know; I was being facetious.expe wrote:The first fight was in Atlantic City, in New Jersey, 2,500 miles from California...Syntax Error wrote:Froch could never beat Ward in England, because England is not in California!
There's no way what Ward would come to England.
He'd probably vacate before having to find his passport & get a lift to LAX airport in order to board an aeroplane to go & fight in another land.
If I am wrong & Ward has finally realised that there is a world outside of California & he does opt to go to England, then it's hard to say.
Ward is now into the realms of the 'unknown' due to his inactivity & the fact that he had a serious injury not too long ago.
If Ward is remotely anything like he was when they first fought, there's no way Froch beats him: Ward was just better in all facets of boxing during that that fight.
This the comment I do not agree with. "It only seems right"??????fergusg wrote:expe wrote:The first fight was in Atlantic City, in New Jersey, 2,500 miles from California...Syntax Error wrote:Froch could never beat Ward in England, because England is not in California!

Carl has already faced Andre on his home turf and it only seems right that the American returns the favour, especially considering the huge $4m+ payday he’d command.
Ward has issues of his own. Just take the fight, beat Froch in his home town, gain a tonne of respect and credibility, earn yaself the biggest payday of your career and be happy. No brainer.tiny_acres wrote:

Ward won.It was not controversial he has remained undefeated since then.(though
quite inactive) I just don't think Ward HAS to do anything he doesn't want.
I think Ward considers this a respect issue.
If it was my career I would jump all over it.The money outweighs the respect issue.danamba7 wrote:Ward has issues of his own. Debatable, the fight is much bigger in the UK so makes financial sense. Why let pride get in the way of drastically improving your bank balance!?tiny_acres wrote:If it was my career I would jump all over it.The money outweighs the respect issue.danamba7 wrote:Ward has issues of his own. Ward is adamant about the situation and like I said he has earned the right to dictate the terms
by virtue of his win over him.
Again.I would take the money.Ward is just stuck on this respect issue.danamba7 wrote:tiny_acres wrote:Ward has issues of his own. True dat!CTaylor1999 wrote:The 3 People who have voted that Froch will get KO'd are strange!!!!
In his last two fights he has performed at the level he's supposed to be capable of for about 30 seconds, when he turned it up before the stoppage first time round and one punch in the second.danamba7 wrote:Dafuq!? I fail to see how the 2nd fight was a bad performance! Cagey until the stoppage, yes, but bad, definitely not!expe wrote:In his last two fights he has performed at the level he's supposed to be capable of for about 30 seconds, when he turned it up before the stoppage first time round and one punch in the second.danamba7 wrote:Dafuq!? I wouldn't say bad, but it definitely wasn't good either.danamba7 wrote:I fail to see how the 2nd fight was a bad performance! I never had froch in front at any point in either fight he landed one very good shot but that was it groves was out boxing him in the second fightdanamba7 wrote:Dafuq!? Groves 1 yeah. Each to their own I suppose but I thought it was very close leading up to the KO. Froch landed a couple of crude but effective combinations to the body and Groves landed that shot which made Froch stumble. I wouldn't say Groves was out-boxing Froch in the 2nd at all personally.stevedoc wrote:I never had froch in front at any point in either fight he landed one very good shot but that was it groves was out boxing him in the second fightdanamba7 wrote:Dafuq!? Quote of the year so far, thank youhurricanemitch14 wrote:Ward will get his money.......Froch wants a fight Vegas bring his punching bag ass over and he'll shut out again. Hell maybe Ward wont break his hand this time.
8-4 but thats complete bs.....watch the fight Froch got man handled all night long. Ate right hands all night and looked confused the whole time.Badhusker wrote:If I remember right, the scores on the first fight were actually pretty close, right? UD Ward, but won by about 3-4 rounds?
